24.01.2022 Thanks to all the parents who participated in the June WYNBUS school Bus Trial survey. Considering various factors including COVID related requirements including Social distancing in Public Transport and viability of the service, we will not be going ahead with the trial in June. We are still planning to commence the trial at a later date during Term 3 based on the changes in circumstances and demand. We will keep you posted on the facebook page on the progress. ... 22.01.2022 WYNBUS school bus trial update :- Based on the 40 seater trial proposal survey launched last week , we have enough demand for launching a combined shuttle for Suzanne Cory school and Werribee secondary school from point cook for one month trial in March. We will target other schools later this year. We will commence with route planning and registrations from tomorrow(17 Feb).... 22.01.2022 We are delighted to announce an eight-week pilot program offering residents of The Grove in Tarneit, access to community transport on weekdays as part of their daily commute. Subject to easing of restrictions, it is hoped this trial will take place in October & November 2020. This community transport trial is separate to the service that is planned for the Riverdale estate. Residents of The Grove are invited to complete the attached survey by 31 August 2020. 19.01.2022 WYNBUS Team thanks all supporters from Point Cook Community who participated in the trial and offered their support for the WYNBUS On-Demand Shuttle trial in Point Cook which concluded on 4th October. We thank the Pick My Project team and the various Government agencies for approving the project as it was the first ever project of this kind in Victoria planned and delivered by a local community organisation (Point Cook Action Group/WYNBUS). 19.01.2022 WYNBUS school shuttle trial update - There has been an overwhelming demand for school shuttle services as per the survey. We picked schools with high demand and tried to develop custom fare packages specific to the school. However, there was not enough consolidated demand in a particular school to commence service immediately due to multiple factors (including communication challenges during holiday break). Apologies to the parents who eagerly supported the trial and suppor...ted the surveys. As most of the schools start by next week, we will try to form parent coordination groups for each of the schools interested in the service and work on planning the services(including cross school services) with help of School administration, Govt. agencies, our partners, parents and Wyndham Council. Exact start date will be announced tomorrow and Registrations will commence on Thursday. The route is based on demand from parents as highlighted in the surveys and due consideration to safety considering its a regular bus . It covers Seabrook, sanctuary lakes south, sneydes road, boardwalk Blvd , featherbrook drive, hacketts Road, point cook town Centre. ... Note: The bus for this trial will not have AC and does not have seat belts. We will advocate for AC buses as part of the long term solution

Special thanks to our mentors Bob Fairclough, Cr. Walter Villagonzalo for mentoring our team. We are thankful to various Victorian State Govt. Departments for their support in making this happen considering this was the first ever trial in Victoria. 04.01.2022 WYNBUS Tarneit Trial update - The trial is still going ahead but will be planned after the lockdown is lifted in consultation with the community. We are also receiving expression of interest from other estates and will continue to engage and plan for the trials.
