22.01.2022 Knowledge is Power. At Wyndham for Women we want everyone to have the opportunity to an education, and although Malala had to fight for her education we don't want anyone to fight for their basic human rights. We will be providing information resources such as : ... books, tutoring lessons, resume assistance and fundamentals like pens, paper and access to online translation programs for refugee women. We are holding a fundraiser on the 26th of June "Jams in Iso" to raise funds to support life changing programs and access to resources as mentioned. 05.01.2022 Increasing numbers of women lack a safe and secure place to call home. But most women who are homeless are invisible. You don’t see these vulnerable women sleeping on the streets most are forced into couch-surfing, staying in crisis or temporary accommodation, or sleeping in their cars. COVID-19 has shown just how crucial it is for everyone to have a safe home during a pandemic. Social distancing protects people from spreading contagions, but this is near impossible for homeless people to practice. If you or anyone you know can benefit from our services, please message us through Facebook or call us at xxx xxx xxx in between 9-5, Monday to Friday.

02.01.2022 POWER IN STORYTELLING There’s so much power in sharing your journey with someone. There’s even greater power in taking a moment to also just sit and listen or read. During these times, it’s a chance for us to learn more, to read more, to research more, to watch more, to ask more, to question more and to listen more. To do our part and raise awareness on some of the issues the vulnerable women in our community face or have faced, we will be introducing a new section to our En...ewsletter. We aim to share one story, one week. Next weeks section will be dedicated to the lovely Carla. Carla is 29 years old and has been homeless for 2 years and 3 months. She is also a mother of two. We encourage you to comment below any questions you would like to ask Carla. ----- Student purposes only
