23.01.2022 Aussie Hoops is Back! Aussie Hoops is perfect for any beginner aged 5-10 years old. Your child will learn the basic fundamental skills of Basketball in an exciting and fun environment. They will grow in confidence with our Basketball Development Officer Emilee Harmon along with our team of coaches and learn to love the game as much as we do. Program Dates/Time @ Eagle Stadium ... 4:15-5pm Monday December 7th and Monday December 14th Restrations: https://membership.sportstg.com/regoform.cgi?formID=96572 OR Wednesday December 9th and Wednesday December 16th Registrations: https://membership.sportstg.com/regoform.cgi?formID=96573 While our normal Aussie Hoops program usually takes course over an 8 week period this program will only last two weeks. The cost of this program will be $10.00 for the two sessions. We hope that if you are a new participant you will find these 2 weeks so enjoyable that you will want to register for our normal Aussie Hoops program in Term 1, 2021. And for our returning participants we can't wait to welcome you back! COVID safe measures and practices will be in place during these session and we ask that you abide by them. 20.01.2022 The WBA is committed to growing female participation and hosting a gender inclusive environment for all of our competitions and programs. As part of this commitment we have had Victoria University conduct a research project into female participation and we are forming a Gender Inclusion Sub-Committee to drive our future work in female participation and to help analyse and action the recommendations from the report. We are calling on interested members to apply to be part of ...the sub-committee. Please find attached the Gender Inclusion Sub-Committee Terms of Reference. If you would like to express interest in being part of this committee, you should read this document carefully, before applying. The sub-committee will be made up of: 2x WBA board members 3x WBA staff members 4x Representatives from domestic clubs 1x TOC representative 1x WBA representative (life member or long-term affiliation with the program) Applicants should address the Expected Competencies within the Terms of Reference in your written EOI’s and outline the position you would represent (as per the list above). Please take the time to check out all the details in this image, but we're reliable informed it is a pretty similar system to what we previously used (Stadium Scoring) And we'll also be providing these guides in the stadium across the season to help!... 17.01.2022 Yesterday seen the final day of competition for 2020 and what a year it has been! We would like to thank all of our families, players, coaches and parents for ...their commitment and patience throughout this year. 2020 has been a year we’d like to move on from very quickly so enjoy your break spending time with your family and we will see you back in 2021. Senior games will recommence on Sunday 10th January Junior U8 on Friday 29th January Junior U10-U16 on Saturday 30th January. (Tuesday U18 competition will commence on 2nd February due to the Australia Day public holiday) Team managers will be in contact with you to confirm our return to training date. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year.

16.01.2022 We're not going to dwell on what happened to the 2019/20 VJBL season, but we would like to celebrate some of the achievements of our participants through the season before it was cut short. To start, we're highlighting our Coaches of the Year: Marvin Ganzon Trevis Simpson... And Coach Encouragement Award: Sam Muraca And while we can't have our usual awards ceremony to celebrate, we were able to present each coach with their award and some well deserved recognition for their efforts last season! #WynAsOne

05.01.2022 Life returning to some sort of normality checklist: Leave your house Catch up with friends and family outside 5kms BACK ON THE BASKETBALL COURT... So good to be back on court last night for the return of our domestic competitions. The Monday night Men's comp and Women's Premier League got us underway in brilliant fashion and the junior domestic clubs get their chance with our U18 and Young Men/Women comps tipping off tonight! #WynAsOne

Thank you so much for all of your support throughout the year and helping us successfully return to our competitions and programs throughout December. The WBA office is now closed for the year and will reopen on Monday, January 4th. Our staff will be in touch with any requests after we return....
