21.01.2022 Residents of Wyndham have brought it to my attention that our parks and ovals are long due for an upgrade and many are often found in unpleasant conditions. As ratepayers and tax payers, we deserve better. The council must keep all recreational and sporting facilities up to date and free of any rubbish. If elected as a councillor, I will move a motion to allocate funds of $5 million for the upgradation and addition of more equipment to these facilities. 20.01.2022 These stats for Wyndham are worrying and the reason my health plan is needed to get Wyndham not just at par with the rest of Victoria but to make it the healthiest council of Victoria. Less than half of Wyndham residents are getting the required amount of physical exercise compared to the rest of Victoria. 75% of Wyndham residents eat one Takeaway meal per week which is higher than all of Victoria... The percentage of adults drinking sugary drinks is highest in Wyndham compared to all of Victoria Greater proportion of adults in Wyndham are classified as obese as compared to other parts of Victoria Diabetes is more prevalent in Wyndham than other parts of Victoria. 20.01.2022 I am disturbed by this news. We have not had a great year and to see a whopping 14.44% rise in crime in Wyndham is disappointing. I worry for the safety and well being of my family, loved ones and the whole Wyndham community. I am grateful we live in a great country, but rising crime is not acceptable. No matter how much progress we make, crime will keep setting us back if we don’t take action. I am proposing a generous investment by the council in CCTV cameras and security ...services to protect our residents and public property. I will be the voice of the residents of Wyndham. 14.01.2022 Wait times for parents to have their children seen by a speech pathologist, child psychologist, pediatrician and occupational therapist are ridiculous in Wyndham. Too many children and parents are suffering and seeing deterioration in health because of this. If elected to the Council, I will move the motion to give a $5,000 grant to struggling small businesses. I will encourage Wyndham residents to buy from these businesses and support the community. Imagine if 500 businesses are able to create a new job each, We will be positively impacting 1,000 families.
