25.01.2022 Happy Diwali from our family to yours!



24.01.2022 To extend on the children's current learning experience of Europe, the children were invited to watch a puppet show based on the tale of Little Red Riding Hood, which can be traced all the way back from 10th century European folk tales. The children really enjoyed the show and thought parts of it were very funny, especially when Little Red Riding Hood decided to hide from the wolf behind the children! Thanks to Babushka's Tales for providing this experience for our children

22.01.2022 Today we had Taz from Ambulance Victoria come and visit. He read us a book about calling 000 and demonstrated on a telephone. We then had an opportunity to go out and explore the ambulance. When we came back in he showed us how to do cpr and gave us some equipment to set up our own hospital. It was lots of fun!

21.01.2022 Our kinder children enjoyed an excursion to the Werribee Open Range Zoo. They participated in an educational program with a zoo keeper, where they learnt about different animals and their habitats. They enjoyed walking around the zoo and going on the safari bus.



19.01.2022 The children enjoyed coming dressed up as their favourite characters to celebrate book day!

18.01.2022 This week we took some of our kinder children to Manor Lakes College. This was a great opportunity to assist the children with their transition to school. We joined a prep class where the teacher read a book called Smarty Pants. After talking about colours and patterns the children then worked with the prep children to create their own smarty pants! We then went and explored the playground before walking back to the centre. The children had a great time and were excited to return to the centre to share their day with their friends!

16.01.2022 We had a member of Victoria Police come and visit us at the centre to talk to the children about their role in the community. The children enjoyed dressing up in the police uniform and exploring the police car.

14.01.2022 Thanks to Flowers by Larissa for making some beautiful donations to our centre.

11.01.2022 It was wonderful to have a visit from Jungle Jammin'. Children had a great time learning about Africa and experiencing drumming! It was a jungle party!

11.01.2022 Over the past few weeks the children enjoyed looking after some chicks. This was a great opportunity for the children to learn about the life cycle of the chicken and caring for animals. The chickens have now become part of our sustainability plan as we incorporate them into our program.

10.01.2022 The children have been learning about the continent of Asia. They are learning about the maps, flags and traditions. They loved cooking sushi for afternoon tea and were able to explore costumes including the chinese dragon!



08.01.2022 Children and teachers enjoyed having a go at Bollywood dancing as part of their learning about India. So much fun had by all!

08.01.2022 To celebrate Reconciliation Week we had one of our families share their Aboriginal heritage with us.The children enjoyed exploring a boomerang and a didgeridoo and listening to some dreamtime stories.

07.01.2022 Today we took the children's wreath to the Werribee shrine for ANZAC Day.

07.01.2022 Children were provided with an Aboriginal incursion to extend on their knowledge of different cultures. They got an oppurtunity to learn about traditinal clothing, boomerangs and didgeridoo. They explored some musical instruments while learning some dance moves. Children also learned how to say "hello,thank you and goodbye".

06.01.2022 Our children love to go out and explore the community by visiting the parks, train station, footy oval, library and schools. We recently went to the nursing home to give out Christmas cards that the children had made and shared in a sing along!

04.01.2022 Children had a wonderful time at the Royal Botanical Gardens. They spent their time exploring the garden learning about plants, herbs and trees. They enjoyed planting their own plants and making potpourri. Playing in the fallen autumn leaves was so much fun!

02.01.2022 Remember that the inside of a parked car can reach dangerous temperatures in a matter of minutes. If you are loading the car with shopping today, remember to keep your keys on you at all times to avoid accidentally locking your child inside the car.
