Sugars in the food and drinks we eat are taken up by bacteria, producing acids that attack the outer layer of tooth enamel to cause decay. One of the easiest and most beneficial ways to help prevent tooth decay is to drink tap water. Sipping it regularly throughout the day and including it with and right after your meals, makes a real difference to the health of your teeth. Rem...ember to have 3 regular meals a day including fruit, vegetables and nuts rather than snacking and grazing. Limit your sugary treats to be part of a meal, rather than a snack.
