22.01.2022 JUNIOR REPORT FOR 2020 Over the past two Friday nights our Junior Footballers held the 2020 year that was dinner, Fri 9th was the Auskick, Under 12 and Under 14 boys, approx 85 attended. Fri 16th the under 13 girls , under 16 boys and our Junior U/17 girls held their dinner with over 100 attending. To wrap up the season quickly, we got some footy in and that was the most important thing of all, we again concentrated heavily in development of players and coaches, under 13 gi...rls did get some games in , many thanks to the Penguin Footy Club. Under 12 boys made the grand final, under 14 and 16 boys had a developing year with over 75% of the boys playing their first year of that age group. So 2021 will see both teams having very experienced line ups . And again our Junior girls just kept on going on, yes made the grand final again but improved on the result by 6 goals, so yes they are coming. Thanks to all our coaches, all helpers in every way (large or smaller roles) and of course parents and family members who played taxi to games and training and of course cheered on game day. We would also like to announce our coaches for season 2021 Under 12 Boys Robert Burr Under 13 Girls Madison Hope Under 14 Boys Clinton McLaren Under 16 Boys Adrian Dixon Under 17 Girls. Tim Grey We won’t announce all the assistants, as coaches are still fine tuning their coaching teams, but there are some fantastic assistants and helpers lined up. We are still on the market for a Junior Development Officer and a Junior Development Co-ordinator for 2021, please contact the Club or myself if you would like to know more about these roles, I will be unavailable in 2021 to carry out these roles for the Wynyard Football Club. On behalf of the club and myself , thank you to the AFL (they did a huge amount of work to get through covid) The NWFL , umpires ,opposition clubs ,and everybody far and wide that made the 2020 football season. Go you classy cats.
