08.01.2022 SATURDAY PENNANT MEMO Dear Clubs/Members, Saturday Pennant Divisions... Premier League Burnie, Devonport Country Club, Latrobe, Port Sorell, Penguin, South Burnie, Ulverstone and Wynyard. Division One Burnie, Devonport Country Club, Latrobe, Port Sorell, Penguin, South Burnie, Turners Beach and Ulverstone. Division Two East Devonport, Penguin, Railton, Ridgley, Sheffield, Smithton, Ulverstone and Wynyard. Division Three Burnie, Devonport Country Club, Latrobe, Port Sorell, Ridgley, South Burnie, Ulverstone and Wynyard. Division Four Devonport Country Club, East Devonport, Penguin, South Burnie, Sheffield, Turners Beach, Ulverstone and Wynyard. Division Five could clubs please submit what teams they can field in this division. Roster This coming season there will be a 14-week roster. Pennant bowls will commence on the 7th November 2020. A later start can give clubs time to play club games, hold carnivals or begin their own championships etc. Conditions of play Roll-up will commence at 1pm and the games will be played straight through. Each game will be 21 ends. There will be no afternoon tea due to numbers and social distancing. Mutual agreement for short breaks if necessary is encouraged, as duty of care to all bowlers must be upheld. Considering numbers so if players go into the Club House the breaks must be staggered. 08.01.2022 Message from Bowls North West Hi Clubs, this is a short email (will follow this later today with a official letter) to inform you all of the decision by the BNW Board at last nights Board Meeting. Thursday Pennant Start time and breaks.... Thursday Pennant start time will remain at 11am. Clubs can have a break at 1pm (if desired) for a MAX of 20 mins. It will be up to host club to negotiate this with the opposing club. Also please remember, if a start time needs to be arranged, it is in the by-laws that this can be also negotiated. I know that most ladies select today, so could you please get this information to them as soon as possible, thank you.
