19.01.2022 MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT! WDCC & Wynyard First Grade Females are so EXCITED to announce the signing of Montana Bradley for season 20/21!! Montana is a premiership winning member of the Bluebelles, captained her BCL team to a premiership, and is a senior member of the Greater Northern Raiders! Montana is a key opening batter whose skills with the gloves are second to none on the NW coast!! Montana will play a key role in the bluebelles this season and her experience, leadership and skills will be invaluable to our club, her teammates and juniors!

14.01.2022 Last night the 69th CNW AGM was held and we thank all clubs and CT Staff members for their attendance. Key points from the night included: - David Mullett re-el...ected to Treasurer position for another 2 year term - With 4 nominees for 3 committee positions a vote was held with James Smith, Robert Stewart and Marc Simonds elected to these roles for two year term - First Grade likely start date is 17th October and Second grade 18th October - Early 10 am start October 24th due to night AFL grand final - Junior and Female gala days 25th October TBC - Junior and Female roster to commence November after long weekend TBC - Season and Media launch to be held Wednesday 14th October with location to be confirmed - Wynyard and Districts Cricket Club accepted into the CNW competition CNW would also like to acknowledge ex committee member Andrew Revell for his efforts in his last 4 years on the board and wish him the best as he continues in the President role at Burnie Hurricanes

12.01.2022 ATTENTION JUNIORS - Cricket season is almost here so it’s time to dust off that gear bag! Next WEDNESDAY the 30th of September from 4pm to 6pm Mark Innes along with some other WDCC members invite all under 12 and under 14 players to come along to the club for a skills session. Everyone is welcome, old and new players! We can’t wait to see you all there IMPORTANT UPDATE - Existing junior members from season 19/20. You will receive an email from WDCC! 07.01.2022 Head Curator, Michael Chettle, hard at work today preparing the Showgrounds' centre square ready for the season. Thanks to Josh Whitehouse, Dion Smith, Gregg Sharman, Jason Beswick, Damien Harvey, and Ash Jones for their assistance with the preparation thus far. Thanks also to Marcus Pamplin from Blundstone Arena and Cricket Tasmania for his ongoing advice.

06.01.2022 POSTPONED!! Due to the rain and the grounds being too wet and dangerous today’s session has been postponed until this coming MONDAY 5th October from 4-5:30!! If it’s raining we will be indoors with location to be decided! Please comment below if your child is intending on playing as we need an idea of numbers!

04.01.2022 SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Female Development Officer (FDO) Appointed Rising female cricketer Abbey Hawkins has been appointed FDO for the 2020/2021 season. The Wynyard Tigers congratulate Abbey on being appointed to this leadership position. At 17, Abbey has already played with the Club for 10 years. Abbey began in the former Milo cricket programs as a 6 year old, then played two seasons with the U13 boys teams while making her transition to senior female cricket. During this tim...e she has played five seasons with the Bluebelles and matches with Myalla Cricket Club. Abbey has represented the Club in numerous Cricket North West teams. Three seasons ago Abbey took 6/17 in a Female First Grade match and two seasons ago made the CNW Female Allstar team. Abbs has been a regular volunteer in junior cricket and in an array of roles around the Club. Abbey's primary role this season is to develop a junior girls' program (especially an U17s team). Abbs will also assist females in Woolworths' Blast and Primary School programs. Abbey will work closely with other Club leaders to build a homely club for all junior players, coaches, and families. The Club wishes Abbey well for the season.
