23.01.2022 2018 Charles Ledger Show What a great event in our showing calender. Excellent level of competition, & a huge vote of thanx to the Convenor, Deb Tristian & her outstanding team of volunteers who once again gave AAA breeders an exceptional platform to show case our stock. Thank you to our judges, another job well done.

21.01.2022 So here we go again, as the cria season approaches, our first of the year, a stunning mid silver grey male. Full brother to Wyona Glenholme, and the spitting image of him too. With his dam, W Hot Sunset a stunning Championship winning rose grey by the highly influential BG Waterloo Sunset, and his sire, Green Gully Giovanni, a champion and Supreme winning mid grey, this young fellow is sure to turn heads as he grows out. Named "Gitanes" (pronounced Shee-tarn) this young ma...le is smokin' hot! Gitanes' full brother W. Glenholme & 3/4 brother W. Giorgio recently placed 1st and 2nd in their Junior grey male class at Canberra Royal Show, and then went on to be awarded Champion Sire's Progeny Group. To date, Green Gully Giovanni has produced 100% grey offspring when mated to grey females, and is producing progeny with consistent colour and style across their fleeces and well into their extremities. (Pictures, in order - 1 - W Gitanes, 2 W Gitanes & Dam W Hot Sunset, 3 - W Glenholme, 4 & 5 - W Glenholeme & W Giorgio, 6 - W Sunset Strip (L) & W Hot Sunset, 7 - G G Giovanni)

19.01.2022 Over the past few years, we have noticed Roans becoming more accepted within the industry, be it in the paddocks or in the show ring. Yet many breeders still show a great level of concern in breeding from a Roan & are unsure how to proceed with them. Many breeders are concerned about breeding a roan back to its underlying base colour as there is a risk of contamination, and often wonder what is the best direction to take. Over the past few years, Wyona has used both Roan dam...s and sires, with many Grey progeny the result. This year, Wyona has taken a slightly different approach when selecting their Sire's and Dam's, and the result has been some Solid "Modern" Grey progeny. Clearly more grey than a Roan, but lacking in the classic Grey markings of mask, white throat and socks. Even in colour across their fleece & spotless. The key players in this result have been Wyona Magnum (Roan) & Yaringa Muddy Waters (Solid Grey Roan). We also have a new young male recently certified due to start his Stud duties, Wyona Caligula (Solid Grey Roan). We hold great expectations of more Solid Modern Grey progeny to come, with the introduction of these three males into our elite Roan herd. All three of these males follow Wyona's high standard, with elite fleece characteristics on a well balanced, proportionate frame with sound conformation and excellent substance of bone. & we are seeing these traits passed on to their progeny to date. Pictures include details.

18.01.2022 When my darling other 1/2 gets enthused about getting my lunging ring up & running for me. Got bogged on top of the dressage sand

12.01.2022 Wyona Alpaca Stud will soon to be closing its doors, I have had an overwhelming response with people interested in purchasing some of our highly awarded bloodlines, but there is still a number of top quality females and a few stud boys remaining. All of these animals stem from Wyona's show stock - either they have come from show winning lines, or they have produced them. There are a few maiden females amongst the group, however most of these females have been proven. I do ha...ve more information available, please if anyone would like some let me know & i would be happy to supply. i can be contacted at [email protected] or call/msg to 0487 420 731 See more

12.01.2022 It is with great sadness that i announce that Wyona will soon be closing its doors, after almost 30 years in the Australian Alpaca Association. As a result of this, all remaining stock will be released for sale. Wonya has continued to be at the forefront of the show ring, accounted for 4 of the 16 founding members of the Australian Alpaca Association and has been accredited to judge alpacas at an A grade level both in Australia and Internationally. Consistantly at the foref...ront of the alpaca show ring, these alpacas stem from some of Australias most reliable and consistent colour producing alpacas from one of the longest established studs in Australia. All alpacas from Wyona are AAA IAR registered, and have been bred for elite and sustainable fibre, gentle nature, integrity of colour all on a sound and conformationally correct frame. If you would be interested in purchasing elite stud and show stock, please contact me here or at [email protected] for more information.

07.01.2022 Off to a great start at the SA Colour Classic. Wyona Crowning Glory was awarded 1st place Intermediate Dark Fawn Male, Champion Dark Fawn Male and Supreme Dark Fawn!

05.01.2022 Best of luck to all competing at the Australian Alpaca Spectacular this weekend, some great results for all so far & excellent competition... Good luck for those showing today & tomorrow, and congratulations to those who have done well so far :-D

03.01.2022 Big congratulations to Malcolm Incorvaia on his recent purchase of Wyona Magnum, a very special Certified Solid Roan Male. Magnum has had an extensive show record spanning a number of years & his progeny have continued his legacy. Magnum hit a great milsetone for Wyona this year, having produced one of Wyona's first Solid Modern Grey progeny.
