25.01.2022 A winning day for Damien Lane Racing with Superstasia breaking through for her maiden win over 1000m at Gunnedah Jockey Club. The three-year-old Super One filly, was resuming from a spell and coming off an impressive trial win at Newcastle Racecourse on September 23. Darryl McLellan was the winning rider. 23.01.2022 What a great day of racing at Wyong yesterday! Our highlights on the track was the win by Kristen Buchanan KB Racing's Delexo and the brave second by Wayne Seelin's veteran Isorich. We farewelled local trainer Stan Thomas, an 83-year-old who has dedicated most of his life to the racing game. ... It was great to see Stan trackside with his family and a small group of owners. 22.01.2022 With many of the favoured runners drawn wide and a wet track predicted, the $7.5m Golden Eagle has been thrown wide open. Funstar is still the $5 favourite despite drawing the extreme outside barrier 22, while Queensland raider Alligator Blood continues to earn plenty of support but will have to overcome barrier 15. The race will be run at Rosehill Gardens at 4.50pm. #wyongraces

The six-year-old (pictured) lines up from barrier 11 in the $200,000 race, with Louise Day in the saddle. The Animal Kingdom gelding has clocked up eight wins and 13 placings from his 32 starts, four of those over the 2000m Cup distance. ... The Waugh trained Knight scored his second career win, taking out the 1400m Class 1 at Newcastle Racecourse, with Andrew Gibbons in the saddle. The promising Helmet gelding brought up his second win from five starts. #teamwyong

16.01.2022 Formidable combination Allan Denham and Robert Thompson strike again at Muswellbrook Race Club, winning the 1000m Class 1 with Go Gadget. The Shamus Award three-year-old, an $18k gelding, scored his second win at his fifth career start. Congrats to the stable and connections. #teamwyong

An impressive win in the Hotham Stakes on Saturday secured a run for Ashrun, listed as a $26 chance, while Mustajeer, the outsider at $71, is coming off an eighth in the Caulfield Cup on October 17. 08.01.2022 Australian Bloodstock will be chasing their second Melbourne Cup victory when French import Ashrun lines up in the time-honoured race on Tuesday. The lightly raced five-year-old stormed into Cup contention after a come from behind victory in the Group 3 Hotham Stakes over 2500m at Flemington yesterday. Darin Butcher, who will soon join the board of the Wyong Race Club, is a part owner of Ashrun.... The Schofield trained Queen Snip broke through for a well-deserved win in the 1600m Fillies and Mares Maiden at Newcastle Racecourse, ridden by Stacey Metcalfe. Kim Waugh’s consistent Written Tycoon gelding Atherton brought up his second win this preparation, also at Newcastle, with a dominant victory in the 1300m CG&E Class 1, with Brenton Avdulla in... the saddle.
