25.01.2022 Thank you Rory for your visit!

25.01.2022 Week 5 is here! We have Mr Weller and our 3 competition winners! Thanks Newlands for our awesome digger prizes. This week we have our reading data cycle, Science week and some students are visiting Base Services to donate our vegetables. We also have our first ‘tools down’ afternoon. What a fabulous week at school! See you tomorrow.

20.01.2022 We are so excited because it is pie drive collection day! Collection starts at 2:30pm today. We will utilise the grassed area at the front of the school to hand out pies. Please be patient as parking is restricted at present with the building in progress. Any problems with collecting pies, please contact the office. Please adhere to social distancing. Normal drive thru pick up routines for the students will still apply.

17.01.2022 Year 6 Graduation

15.01.2022 It has been a busy few weeks with activities. Our students and staff looked fabulous for our book week dress up. Thank you to Dusty for an awesome day for NAIDOC Week. This week we have swimming, Year 6 speeches, free dress with a gold coin donation (for our Year 6 trip) and learning, learning, learning. Tomorrow will be another warm day. Don’t forget hats and water bottles.

15.01.2022 On the 14th of September, Wyreema State School will welcome Rory Mather, a local Toowoomba Author, to present his first picture book publication with students. The book will be released on 1st September 2020 however, pre-orders are now available via this website. https://larrikinhouse.com//vlads-bad-breath-hardcover-pre/ If students purchase a book before the day Rory will be happy to sign them at his visit.

14.01.2022 Rory Mather is coming next Monday. Forms will be sent home. Books are $20 each.

13.01.2022 Soccer grand final fun at WSS today! Well done Team 3 and 4. Congratulations to Team 3 on your win. We loved cheering you all on. Thank you to Jaylan and Mrs Scott for your organisation. . Good luck to the teachers on Thursday.

12.01.2022 Yesterday the staff had a walk through of the new buildings. It is very exciting!!!! Not long now....

11.01.2022 Warrior Day fun and our annual Staff Christmas Hat Parade. The winner was Santa George and Baby Rudolph George.

10.01.2022 Another project currently underway just outside Toowoomba is some upgrade works to the existing power reticulation ,new Site Main Switchboard and the constructi...on of new classrooms at Wyreema State School for Newlands Group.Bryce and the team have been quietly pushing along and we look forward to seeing the finished product soon.
