04.01.2022 2020 Feelings!!

03.01.2022 My completed dungeon master throne, carved for the very wonderful @stefanpokornyzaltar in Seattle. I regard this as the pinnacle of my carving career so far. V...ery proud of it indeed Carved over the course of two trips, the work took approximately 4 weeks. Huge thanks to my sponsor Arbortec. The wood is giant sequoia. It will now sit covered up for some months to dry some of the weight out of it and for the colour to darken from these several shades of pink to rusty reds and burgundy. Eventually this will head a dungeons and dragons gaming table inside a great hall. To the back of the sculpture will be the halls fire place so I have added a bench to enjoy it from. You of noticed some small caves and steps in the areas beneath the wings. These are intended to be playable terrain, where the game can leave the table and continue around ‘dragon mountain’.
