22.01.2022 Macrame Kits! With my workshops on hold for the unforeseeable future, I’m offering my Macrame Kits and video tutorials so you can make a Macrame creation at home! I’ve been so impressed and inspired by the way many businesses have adapted during these challenging times in order to continue operating and I have tried to support as many local small businesses as possible. ... I created these Macrame Kits in April when restrictions first came into place and the response was overwhelming - and so was getting in front of the camera to film the tutorials . Making videos was something I’d never done before and if I’m honest, I was quite nervous about teaching via this new platform but it seemed to work and it was so thrilling to receive photos of people’s creations and to know that they were able to create from my videos! My time and energy was needed elsewhere for a couple of months and I haven’t been able to knot but my passion has been reignited this week and I can’t wait to get back into it and to share my love of it!!! If you’ve been wanting to give Macrame a try, now seems to be as good a time as any! Millie Mini Wall hanging - $15 Violet Wall Hanging - $35 Plant hanger - Natural $25 Pick up Chirnside Park or postage $10-$15 (depending on number of kits). A description of each piece and what is included in the kits is listed with the photos.

As you can see there’s a strong pull toward green as usual !!! #macramecotton #somanychoices #recycledluxe

21.01.2022 So good to be back teaching at @lavishhome_decor ....14 months between workshops! We were joined by four lovely ladies yesterday - two sisters enjoying an afternoon together and two friends also taking some time for themselves to try something new. All of the ladies picked up their new craft easily and were thrilled with their finished piece. I still get so much joy from seeing people leave my classes with their beautiful creations, especially those who show a bit of doubt... and uncertainty at the beginning. It’s so good to see them overcome their doubt and achieve something they thought they couldn’t. We have places available in our Plant hanger workshop on Wednesday 26th May.

20.01.2022 2020 started out as an amazing year for us, we were halfway into a 6 week caravaning adventure in Western Australia! Our return in late Jan saw us celebrating hubby’s 50th birthday on Australia Day and catching up with friends and family that we hadn’t seen for some time. Little did we know that would be the last time we would see many of them for a while. Life certainly took a very different turn not long after we got back and it’s safe to say we have all been struggling wi...th the bizarreness of this year in varied ways. Melburnians in particular have been doing it tough of late, today entering our 8th week of lockdown. So.... I want to bring some cheer to a couple of people’s lives with this giveaway! Simply tag a friend and you will go in the draw for yourself and your friend to BOTH win the following: - A mini macrame wall hanging - Macrame jar - Pair of leather & bamboo timber earrings Stay safe everyone and be kind to yourself and each other through these challenging times. Love Kim xo

19.01.2022 2.6m table runner !!! I’m not one to shy away from a challenge, so a couple of weeks ago I accepted an order for a 2.6m table runner. The challenge was that I’d never made a table runner and I’d been asked to make a 2.6m one as my first attempt!!!! It’s perfectly imperfect (which is how I think of myself), was a learning experience and I’m pretty chuffed with the end result! #macrame #macrametablerunner #xanoadesigns #localbusiness #madewithlove #creativelife #perfectlyimperfect

17.01.2022 Macrame Sale! I mentioned a sale last week and finally got a chance to take the photos of the sale items. Happy shopping!

16.01.2022 Congratulations to Tina Zee and Jasmine Zühlke - you are the winners of my little bit of joy gift!

13.01.2022 Table runner goals ! I loved working with this Ivy recycled cotton - the colour and texture are divine.

12.01.2022 Last night was our first wall hanging class for the year and it was such a great night! I feel so fortunate to be able to share my passion with others and get to meet so many wonderful people. I think my favourite thing is when people walk in, see what we’re making and say there’s no way I’ll be able to do that and three hours later they leave with a beautiful creation and a feeling of huge achievement. We have a Wall Hanging Workshop @lavishhome_decor on Saturday 15th Ma...y and another @wonga_park_community_cottage on Saturday 5th June. If you’re interested in a Plant Hanger class we have one scheduled @lavishhome_decor on Wednesday 26th May.

11.01.2022 I’m so thrilled with the response to my Macrame at Home Kits and Video tutorials! It’s such an amazing feeling to receive pics of the creations and to know that your teaching has been communicated effectively. Big shout out to my bestie @nomi76.ny who, by her own admission, is not into crafts of any sort. However she bought a Violet Wall hanging kit for herself and a Millie mini wall hanging for her daughter so they could make something together. I’m so proud of her for having a go at something new and for the amazing piece she created (first photo in the post). To quote her if I can do it, anyone can do it!!!! Congratulations also to Nicole (plant hanger) and Courtnei (Millie mini wall hanging) on their amazing creations. Thanks for supporting my small business ladies. x

11.01.2022 It’s a real honour being asked to create a gift for a special birthday....this one was for an 18th birthday girl! #macrame #sage #birthdaygift #handmadewithlove #lovetocreate #supportlocalbusiness

10.01.2022 I’ve been absent from my page for a couple of months and wanted to get in contact, say hi and let you know why I’ve been a bit quiet of late. I have been pondering this post for a few days now and have been struggling to find the words, or even an image, to post. Over the past couple of months I have been wading through the challenges of COVID - restrictions, uncertainty, frustration, home learning - as well as supporting our family through the news of my step son’s cancer d...iagnosis and supporting him through his treatment. Throw into the mix, the process of transitioning our teenage son to a new school and it’s been pretty full on. We were so fortunate to escape for a family camping getaway last week with friends before a new Covid restrictions were announced here in Melbourne this week and we have been placed in Stage 3 restrictions for 6 weeks. Personally our family is fortunate that my hubby is still able to work and I can do my bookkeeping job remotely, however my joy at returning to Macrame workshops next week has been squashed. I consider myself very fortunate though in the scheme of things and feel for businesses who were hit hard by the first round of restrictions and no sooner opened their doors and have had to close again. I am desperate to get back to the stand and create. I have some things in mind that I want to experiment with and am still taking orders, so if there’s something you’ve been wanting for your home or perhaps a gift for someone, please get in touch. I have some items that were returned to me after one of my stockists closed it’s shop and I will be posting these next week in a special sale. Stay well, be kind to yourself, take care of each other and we will get through this. Warmest wishes, Kim

02.01.2022 A special gift for a friend’s birthday... Creating this piece was so heart-warming . It was my first time working with the stunning Antique Peach luxe cotton and Recycled Sari Silk ribbon from @marymakerstudio as well as incorporating a crystal into my work. I felt really connected and in tune with my idea for this piece and the person I was creating it for. #creativelife #lovetocreate #macrame #wallhanging #antiquepeach #marymakerstudio #rwcrystalco #handmadewithlove #xanoadesigns

01.01.2022 Christmas orders have started , these standard coasters and large coaster (for under a pot plant) were the first and kept me busy for a while!!! Sometimes I find the lead up to Christmas a little overwhelming however after the year we’ve had, especially in Melbourne and Victoria, this year I’m feeling hopeful that we can spend the day with family . #macrame #macramecoasters #macramepotplantcoaster #xanoadesigns #localbusiness #madewithlove #handcrafted #creativelife #christmasshopping
