24.01.2022 COVID-19 update for Brisbane, Ipswich and surrounds In response to recent positive COVID-19 cases, a range of measures have been put in place for the belo...w local government areas across greater Brisbane, Ipswich and surrounds. Brisbane City Ipswich City Logan City Scenic Rim Somerset Region Lockyer Valley Moreton Bay Redland City The below measures come into effect immediately: Gatherings in private homes and public spaces will be restricted to a maximum of 10 people. These limits do not apply to businesses operating under a COVID Safe plan. Residential aged care and disability accommodation facilities have restrictions on visitors and residents leaving the facility Hospitals have been asked to restrict visitors as soon as possible Hospital emergency departments, aged care facilities and disability accommodation facilities will use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including face masks and gloves to treat all patients and residents. Extra restrictions have also been put in place for movement and gatherings in all other Queensland areas outside of the above listed local government areas. These restrictions include: Gatherings in private homes and public spaces will be restricted to a maximum of 30 people. These limited do not apply to businesses operating under a COVID Safe plan. Your childs plan will outline their goals, the aim of the NDIS is to provide the support your child needs to meet their goals. Types of supports that the NDIS might fund include:... support for daily living activities like eating and getting dressed transport so that your child can take part in social or community activities, or go to school therapeutic support including behaviour support modifications to your home equipment or technology to support your child modifications to your car Dependent on your individual circumstances, generally, the NDIS wont fund support that: - isnt related to your childs disability - duplicates other support already funded by mainstream services like the health or education systems - is part of day-to-day living costs that arent related to your childs support needs

18.01.2022 Six year old Skye is described by her mum Vanessa as a little adrenaline junky who loves to be in amongst the action. Skye loves to be pushed on the swings as high as possible, swimming and playing with her musical toys. Skye was born with a genetic disorder that is so rare, she is one of a kind in the whole world. Skye has had regular Speech Therapy sessions for over two years to support her with her feeding and communication. 02.01.2022 In the last 24 hours new COVID-19 cases have been identified in Queensland and Queensland Health has commenced contact tracing. Some of the locations involved in contact tracing are popular community locations. Queensland Health is requesting those who have been at these locations at specific times to self-isolate and contact Queensland Health for advice. It is very important that the Xavier community does its part to support the work of Queensland Health.... To do this, all Xavier employees have already been asked to check the list of locations and their community movements over the last 7 days. At this stage no employee has notified us of the need to self-isolate. We will continue to monitor this.
