19.01.2022 This year the Xavier School of Mission will begin with an open ecumenical evening being held at Holy Spirit Provincial Seminary on the Sunday evening, July 21st. The theme of the event is In the Word was Life: An Ecumenical Conversation. After a light meal, a panel of experts will introduce how the Word is experienced and understood in their faith communities, setting the scene for a conversation among all present.... An open invitation, please RSVP by July 14th, including any dietary needs.

18.01.2022 Director of the Xavier Center for Theological Formation, Dr. Maeve Louise Heaney VDMF will lead this years School of Mission. Born in Dublin, across the sea in Ireland, she is a consecrated missionary of the Verbum Dei Missionary Fraternity. She completed her Bachelors in theology in Madrid, and her licentiate and doctorate at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. During her time in Rome, she taught both at the Gregorian and at the Rome Base of the Catholic University... of Dallas. She was Bannan Fellow 2011-2012 at Santa Clara University, California, teaching at the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley. As a musician and composer, she interweaves the fields of theological aesthetics, spirituality and the arts.
