05.01.2022 The New South Wales government is seeking renewable energy projects to be a part of the renewable energy zone pilot program in Dubbo and Central West. The Gov...ernment wants to attract 3,000 megawatts of investment worth $4.4 billion for the pilot program, which is part of a campaign to help NSW reach zero net emissions by 2050. "Having a renewable energy zone designated in our region can bring construction jobs, increase economic activity in local towns and reduce emissions (to prevent) things like climate change and further drought," says Narromine farmer and renewable energy advocate Karin Stark. https://www.abc.net.au//renewable-energy-zone-pla/12299652
