25.01.2022 On board Xiang Dragons both Open 10’s Crew & Womens’s 10’s Crew today. Fantastic day racing against our friends from other clubs in South East Queensland. Miss it so much! Long time between races!

25.01.2022 Today Xiang Dragons won our FIRST grand final!!!!! Our FIRST TROPHY Tin Can Bay 15-07-2018 Fantastic way to start off the new season!!!! We are a new dragon boat club, only 10 months old, that came together as one today and gave our competition a run for their money!! ... A whole lot of heart and determination got you over that line!! Congratulations to all the Xiang Dragons who paddled today! You have come so far in such a small amount of time! Super proud of each and everyone of you Bruce & Jen

24.01.2022 Congratulations to all the Xiang Dragons that competed at the QLD State Championships yesterday at Lake Kawana on the Sunshine Coast. We entered 2 boats in the 200m 10’s racing. Premier Mixed 10’s Premier Women’s 10’s... The Mixed boat made it thru to the Semi Finals and just missed out of the Grand Final by .04 sec! The Women’s boat came 4th in the Grand Final! Fantastic achievement yesterday! Last year we didn’t make the semi finals. Onward and upwards! Dedication to technique training and hard work in the boat has payed off. Well done Xiang Dragons!!!!!

23.01.2022 What a ripper of a morning on the water with a awesome bunch of paddlers!!! Xiang Dragons members are growing each week!! We are so proud of the fast improvement with all paddlers and their enthusiasm to learn. We even had our first race against the outriggers........AND WON!!!!!!!

22.01.2022 What a fabulous weekend of racing at the Pan Pacific Masters Games 2018!! We entered into 2 categories each day, Snr A (40+ yrs) Mixed & Women’s in 500m & 200m distances. We made it to the Semi-finals for all crews and the Women just missed out on the 200m Grand Final by .04sec! The courage, determination, and true sportsmanship was felt by every paddler throughout the weekend making PPMG an amazing experience! Congratulations Xiang ‘Master’ Dragons you done your club proud!!

20.01.2022 Fantastic morning at the Bluewater Festival today! We met a lot of enthusiastic people wanting to try Dragon boating for the first time. Such a great day was had by all. Training Times: Tuesday & Thursday evenings 6:30pm to 7:30pm... Sunday mornings 6:30am to 8am Location: 95 Allpass Pde, Shorncliffe Perfect time of year to take a new sport!

20.01.2022 Such a special night attending Sandgate’s Jingle All The Bay!! What a fabulous event! Xiang Dragons had the pleasure of participating in the parade showcasing a fully dressed dragon boat thru the main street of Sandgate that was lined with thousands of people Wonderful markets, delicious food vans and heaps of kids activities plus Santa! Fantastic community event!! #jingleallthebay

20.01.2022 Xiang Dragons Shorncliffe is looking for dragon boat paddlers to compete with us at the Pan Pacific Masters Games on the Gold Coast (2nd to 4th November) We need - 3 men for our Senior A Mixed crew & 2 women for our Senior A Women’s crew. ... If you cannot paddle for any reason and want to join the fun we need a female drummer, must be at least 30+ yrs If you are interested please contact us ASAP

18.01.2022 Fabulous day of racing at Varsity Lakes last Sunday!! With 18 clubs braving the crazy weather with 2000m races and 500m sprints. Congratulations to Burleigh Fire Dragons for hosting such a well run, well organised regatta seeing the whole day running ahead of time! Xiang Dragons entered into 3 categories with the Ladies team just missing out on the final.

A great day was had by all A big thank you to the organisers of the festival and to our club members who volunteered to help out today. You guys are awesome!!

10.01.2022 Fantastic morning on the water!!!! Xiang Dragons had the pleasure of teaching 35 amazing people from Tom’s Law Personal Training. We had 2 boats out there today (big thanks to TeWaka Dragons for loaning the 2nd boat). We took off separately, taught the basics then met up to race each other. 3-0 to one particular boat hahaha we know who we are!!!!

It’s been an absolute pleasure introducing you all to this wonderful sport of Dragon Boating You have achieved so much in such a short time, such as a number of regattas making it to finals, thrown into the deep end at State Carnival and stayed afloat AND we won our first trophy!!!
