25.01.2022 Aquatonic was recently involved with UQ and QFS in the fire testing of Cross Laminated Timber (CLT)

24.01.2022 Timber is the only material that naturally locks carbon away. Trees remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere as they grow, then when they're responsibly harvested, the wood continues to store that carbon away and new growth begins removing more and more carbon. http://bit.ly/2BMbWQV

24.01.2022 Otago Polytechnic Student Village - Final Delivery of XLam CLT Panels The project consumed approximately 9,700m2 of XLam CLT panels, with a very large component of the product requiring treatment. Treating the feedstock used in the production of CLT has fast become 'the norm' in New Zealand as it provides a risk mitigating solution for potential water ingress problems. Councils and Government Regulators are looking for CLT solutions which provide an added element of security, and XLam are very pleased to be able to support such initiatives.

20.01.2022 Two milestone North American mass timber projects are demonstrating that wood is still an incredibly versatile and reliable building material that will play an ...important role in the 21st century. As green building codes become more commonplace with the assistance of programs like the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) building rating and certification structure, various types of manufactured wood products, including cross-laminated timber (CLT), will become more prevalent building materials.
