16.01.2022 Nailing your self tan! 25 degrees in Melbourne on Saturday and you might be tempted to expose the lockdown legs! Great! Your self tan prep should start today! ... Here is my classic self tan lineup and I think it’s easy for you to get salon results at home! Great results start with good prep! Shower, exfoliate with a clean exfoliating mit and scrub. Remove hair 24 hours before you tan. Use fresh tan! Tanning lotions all start to go off as soon as they are bottled and then opened, best results will come from fresh tan. I find mousse or foam tans tend to be effective and high quality. Apply tan to skin that is clean dry and free of: deodorant, moisturizer, oils/serums, perfume. These will all effect the outcome of your application. Use a MIT! Hands down this is the easiest and most fail safe way to apply self tan. You can use disposeable gloves to avoid tan Use a buffing circular motion to ensure good coverage. And don’t use heaps! Do 2 light coats if you like darker color. Tip! Always use only the excess on the mit for your hands and feet. Most self tanners can be used on the face, however I am a slave to Eco Tan Face Tan water! With antioxidants and active ingredients, it’s also a treat for your face! Follow the rules! If is says wash off after 2 hours, wash it off. Not following the rules only results in a bad outcome. If you’ve used the product before and know how your skin responds to the tan, you can allow extra processing time. After wash off, use a great rich moisturizer to lock in the color! Remember that NO SELF TANNER contains sunscreen, so always apply sunscreen to your face and body when you’re enjoying the outdoors! Off you go girl, tan up, get outside and soak up some sunshine! So I wanted to shed some light on a something you may or may not know about the Keto diet.... Have you noticed more strands of hair fall into the sink/shower after going keto? Lifestyle factors like temporary increases in stress from low carb diets can speed up the rate of your hair cycle, which causes hair loss. ... Take a look at low carb forums and you’ll notice thinning hair is a major concern. Luckily, this is a temporary setback on the keto diet.It usually happens three to six months after any new diet and only a small percentage of your hair will fall out. The good news is, after a few months your hair follicles will begin to regrow just as thick as before. A keto diet will also effect the oilness of your skin and hair, leading to issues with retention of your eyelashes. Because of high fat nature of the keto diet, the skin produces more sebum, and this can lead to breakouts but also oiler hair. As we know lash adhesive aren’t a huge fan of oil, and therefore, you can expect that retention of your lashes will be effected by a keto diet. The takeaway here, Keto will effect the amount and the oilyness of your lashes, if you have commenced keto/low carb, do expect to see a change in both how many eyelashes you have and how well they are retaining lash extensions!
