21.01.2022 REPOSTED CAPTION FROM INSTAGRAM- @_x.p.o.s.e.d_ Hey guys, So I’ve been really feeling down about the work I’ve been putting out. In all honesty I look at this account now and hate it. I hate the photos, the look, I hate the vibe and style. I’m so lost creatively not only because i don’t feel like I deserve this but because im so new to this. I’ve been so caught up in feeling like I have to find a particular style and only run with that one thing that I’ve forgotten that this ...is my account and I can do really what I want. Maybe I don’t need to fit in just one category. Anyway, It’s starting to get really unhealthy for me because I’m constantly comparing myself to other photographers and it’s putting a huge strain on my creativity. I’ve become such a perfectionist with my photos that over half of my work I’ll refuse to post because I hate it so much. I pick and pick until I find something so small about the photo that ruins it. I’m always beating myself up after shoots because I’ll get such a good photo but I can see so much wrong with it I’d wish I’d shot it differently. I don’t want to strive for perfection anymore. Art isn’t perfect. That’s what makes it unique and different. I’ve forgotten that this account started as fun and just me and my friends having a good time a chilling out. It’s starting to feel just like work with a lot of added pressure that I my photos and I aren’t good enough for this. So at the end of the day I’ve decided that this account is for me. It’s my way of expressing myself. And I want to be able to share more of my work with you guys and care less about how my works perceived by some closed minded people. So expect a bit of a change.
