Thought of by many employees as a sacrosanct activity that is simply off limits to management. In most cases they are probably rightthe pushback being too risky. Managers that I have spoken to however see the amount of time that it consumes. 30 minutes seems to be a typical amount of time, but I've heard it can be up to an hour. That's a lot of down time when calculated over a yea...r. Workers deserve their breaks (and caffeine), no doubt. We all need to recharge and have a bit of social time during even the busiest of days.
