25.01.2022 Hello Friends, Steve, will be taking a short break next week to spend some much needed time with his family. So, there will be NO X-Rays available: Monday 25 January - Friday 29 January (inclusive). ... Ultrasound services will be running as normal, but only Wednesday/Thursday/Friday of next week. 16.01.2022 **important changes to our operating hours** Dear friends, Our neighbours at Newstead Medical have commenced the building works for the long-awaited acute emergency centre. ... To minimise disruption and noise to staff/patients, we have decided to amend our hours during the initial construction stage, which directly impacts the back section of our building. As of Monday 15 June, 2020 our temporary operating hours will be as follows: Closed - Monday’s Tuesday - Friday 12midday - 6pm Saturday - 10am - 2pm We hope to get back to our normal trading as soon as possible. The Elphin Road entrance will be closed for 2 weeks, with access to Waiting Area 3 via the lift or via the door from the Chemist. 09.01.2022 Tasmania's first Urgent Care Centre is opening this Monday! Our team of doctors and nurses will be able provide Urgent medical services in a 9 bed purpose-buil...t facility located at the rear of Newstead Medical. Urgent Care is a walk-in, no appointment required service for patients presenting with symptoms or injuries that are too urgent to wait for a GP but are not serious enough to present to Emergency. The service allows us to spend time with patients and perform relevant investigations (pathology, radiology etc.) while they are with us, to diagnose and treat urgent conditions, including with IV therapies. We're hoping to be just one of the potential solutions to take pressure of the Emergency Department at the LGH, with a plan to increase our opening hours as we grow.
