Callum's been instrumental in the gym's recovery and refurbishment during #COVID19 last year, and since we've been riding a wave of success His positive attitude and lend-a-hand attitude makes him a great asset here and a friendly face for all. 24.01.2022 How does this lockdown impact your gym membership? Let us explain XS Fitness has needed to close for the 5 day lockdown.... All membership payments will continue as usual for this week, however a credit will be applied to your account on a pro-rata basis. This credit will be subtracted from your following membership payment. Memberships that are (e.g. 6 month membership), will be suspended for the period that the gym is closed, thus no time is lost. If the lockdown exceeds the original 5 days planned, we will keep members updated in due time with changes to payments Please see the link below for more information. This one is great for not only stretching your muscles, but flexibility too. Start by lowering yourself down into a push-up like position. Then, bring one leg up to your elbow and back down. 15.01.2022 Water + diet + sleep// That's a good plan! If we do say so ourselves Now that you've got your consistency down pat, and you're keeping it simple, it's time to move into a routine. And we mean a good routine (we're talking about you, Mr. Friday beers #yeahtheboys )... A routine that's focused on good choices is much better. Think: Bringing water instead of Coca Cola to the gym. Trade chips for protein powder post-workout. Get enough sleep and switch the Xbox off half an hour earlier. All these small changes can really add up

Week 1 of our 'coaches tips' content where we aim to educate and inspire you all with some training tips that you can apply each and every day This week, we'll look at isometic.... Isometric is a type of exercise that involves holding and/or pausing under tension The goal here is impose a very safe and constant load on the muscles without the muscles moving, this may be beneficial to create a novel stimulus as opposed to your regular training. This means less strain on your ligament, tendons and joints Try it on the below exercises wall squats Push-ups (hold at bottom) Pull-down (neutral grip, hold at bottom) bicep curl (hold DB parallel to the floor) Lateral raise (hold DB parallel to floor)
