05.01.2022 LOFT LIFE . The decision to remove the old and tired roof and install a new, simple but clever roof form, allowed us to create this beautiful loft space. . The new loft and new roof form became an integral part of the design philosophy to help fuse the old and the new pavilions of REUSE HOUSE.... . Feels of the undulating roof form can be appreciated when chilling up in the loft whilst we also utilised the opportunity to integrate a cheeky access door into the roof space. The tasteful access point into the roof space allowed for additional storage which meant accessing and storing all that ‘stuff’ that you have, but don’t really use all that much, becomes easy even though it is hidden out of sight. . By incorporating a series of operable skylights, plenty of natural light streams into the home whilst double acting as vents to relieve all that hot air that would typically trapped in the apex of the roof. The result is a comfortable home that feels alive so it can be enjoyed on even the hottest of days. . @xspacearchitects @dionrobeson See more
