08.01.2022 Good afternoon to all! We hope you are all well and staying safe throughout this time. We are very excited to share our new commissioned artwork with you all - "Xtremecare's Journey". This painting was designed and hand-painted by the amazing, Chern'ee Sutton Art. It represents Xtremecare as an Indigenous NDIS service provider, our connection to culture and our inspiration to serve all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living with disabilities. The blue hand pri...nt and Dhari represents William as a proud Torres Strait Islander man, the red hand print and boomerang represents Marjorie as a proud Aboriginal woman and the green hand print represents our disabled son, William Jnr who is the driving force behind the establishment of Xtremecare. The animals represent William and Marjorie's totems and their connection to land, sea and country. The large orange and white ring represents the sun and Xtremecare creating a brighter future for those living with disabilities, with the surrounding symbols representing Xtremecare's current employee's who work in rural and remote communities in QLD. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us thus far and we look forward to extending our services to other regions and states in the near future. *Please note: This image is copyright protected and IP protected and only to used by Xtremecare. 03.01.2022 Hi, hope you are all well? It’s been a while since we have posted anything. To be quiet honest we have been very busy chasing our tails, with the high demand for our services, operating with limited resources and no funding, what so ever. It has been a challenging 12-18 months for both myself and Marjorie, who are founds and directors of XtremeCARE Australia, an Indigenous owned and operated Disability Organisation specialising in the following; * Indigenous Cohorts * Rural a...nd Remote Locations * High Complex Needs We currently assist and support Families living within the Gulf, the Cape and Torres Straits communities. These communities that are located in these areas are commonly referred to as Thin Market regions within NDIS because there are no to limited services within these areas. Due this period it has been a roller coast ride, to say the least. With all the highs and lows that come with a new business, it has been a humbling experience to serve others beside myself. Everyone who knows me and my family will know my personal circumstance (of having a son with High Complex Needs) and the challenges that I have faced, as an individual, as a father, and as a husband...and definitely as a Family, this is why both myself, wife Marjorie and our children have invested our time and efforts, our blood, sweat and tears into this business, called XtremeCARE Australia. The staff of XtremeCARE are dedicated to delivering on participants needs, and often very stretched for time. We are a new business, new service with limited resources, No Government funding (because NDIS is a business model not a grant funded model) servicing the most challenging locations within Australia, and competing with Larger Mainstream Organisation that seems to get all the funding...I’m not complaining just pointing out the facts..that sometimes it makes me frustrated and disheartened. I often ask myself the question why am I doing this, but then I look at my son and realise why I am doing this...it gives me great strength to persevere, and keep on doing what we do. We are definitely passionate about what we do, I ask for your support and patience through our development and growing stage. We have put in placed Support Co-ordination staff in these locations, servicing these regions. Western Cape - Weipa Northern Peninsula Area - Bamaga Torres Strait - Outer Island Torres Strait - Thursday Island I would like to hear your suggestions or feedback please email [email protected] Thank you for your support William Tatipata
