(you can see for yourself with the empty shops around town) Please take the time to read... below and see if it resonates with you Why should I shop local this Christmas when I can buy it for $5 cheaper on the internet? OR drive out of town because parking can be difficult here? We know parking in the CBD can be a nightmare, trust me we get it. But by not shopping here its us locals that are suffering and we arent responsible for town planning. Well here's a few reasons that you may not realise: We donate items weekly to LOCAL sports clubs, community groups, charities and schools, we've just donated over $3000 in vouchers to local schools and sponsored Mt View Sports presentation. We sell equipment to clubs at often close to cost price to ensure your kids have access to quality training gear. Has the online store ever donated anything to your kids local sporting club? We employ LOCAL people from LOCAL families! In fact, we currently employ ALL local people! Plus we host work experience youth too. Has the person on the internet ever employed anyone you know? If the doors of local businesses keep closing, who is going to give your kids for their first job? We use and support other LOCAL businesses; transport companies, stationary, tradesman to name a few! Has the person on the internet ever used your friend who is an electrician, delivery driver, painter? We pay GST and taxes which goes back into our country and helps pay for health care, education, roads and Centrelink. Does the big online store pay any taxes? We pay rates to the LOCAL council which goes back into our LOCAL community How much does the online store put back into your local community? We keep our prices as low as humanly possible to compete with online stores, and the BIG guys, despite all of the above listed benefits! So next time you are in store, taking photos of an item you like then going online to try and get it cheaper, hopefully you'll remember all this and #supportlocalbusinesses this festive season!
