03.01.2022 Darkest legal for this big rig! Do you use Windex to clean your tinted windows? The old film i removed had the tell tale signs of having been cleaned with Windex previously or another ammonia based product. ... Not only will using ammonia based products (Windex) to clean your tint cause it to look blury, prolonged use will break down the anti scratch coating and make it look like you've used sandpaper to clean your window. It just looks plain nasty in extreme cases, it will also void any manufacturers warranty. Use only tint safe window cleaner for your newly tinted windows - it will normally tell you on the back of whichever bottle you purchace.
