13.01.2022 Achieving your aspirations can be really hard and especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Job opportunities have rapidly diminished and university entry has become uncertain. This can feel like intense hopelessness. However, it needn’t be. Youth for Global Peace is able to link you with Specialist Coaching. It's about rethinking the way you think and developing a growth mindset. We begin where others have given up.... Specialist Coaching can not only help you get back on track but give you unique skills. Take a moment to think on where you are headed and where you want to be. You are not what happened to you; you are who you are to become. Oh! Remember! Would you want your football or basket ball team to be in there for the grand finals without a coach? 11.01.2022 What an awesome eighth session on "The Collaborative Minds" with Mr. Mohamed Daud, Youth Leader and Peace Education Advocate. Thank you to all our viewers for your active engagement and participation. Here are my key takeaways from the wonderful session: You can hit the RESET button, whenever you DECIDE to!... If you want to create the life of your dreams, you can restructure yourself, your values, your beliefs to align with who you want to become. It's about recollecting yourself, going after the opportunities and taking action to move forward. Outline your career GOALS It's very important to ask yourself what are your core values, what are your interests, what do you want to contribute towards, what are you ready to devote your life to? You got to have that map, a guide to where you want to go in life. Treat your goals list as your CHECKLIST How do I get there? Who do I need to reach out to? Who do I need to be? What else do I need to do? Keep ticking those boxes Access available RESOURCES Reach out to community leaders, your educational instituition support groups, career cousellors, coaches - Whether it's educational or professional, feel free to express yourself and seek help, tell them what you need so that they can help you! It's all about you - Do you want to HELP yourself? It starts from you and ends with you - Get out there, you have to take care of yourself first. seek help, offer help! Get where you want to get, collaborate and belong. Become a part of the COMMUNITY Be a part of the society. You have to be inclusive, engaging and offering help with authencity. Volunteer your time, network with people, ASSESS and ADAPT Do you want to be a part of it or just be a spectator? Know what it really feels like Vs what you think or imagine it to be! TRUST The best way to find out if you trust someone is to trust them. The trust comes from you and then goes to the other person. What you show is how the other person will react to, respond to. Be a good LISTENER Listening is the key aspect of understanding the other person. Don't rush, you don't have the sligtest idea what is coming your way! Trust in the possibilities! Establish a COLLABORATIVE relationship The more you show who you are as a person, the more the other person is able to successfully collaborate and partner. Build it on the foundation of trust. Respond with PEACE Don't seek revenge. Holding anger develops unrest in our inner world. When we show up from a place from peace, you inspire peace in the world around you. #thecollaborativeminds
