22.01.2022 Brrrrr it’s getting cold outside so the natural alternative for those wanting to keep costs down is a party at home. But how to prevent your home from turning into a giant rubbish tip? Our advice - if you have the space - is to cordon off an area intended for your partygoers. Bear in mind that toilet trips will have to be accommodated for and if you only have the one that can get tricky. Maybe have one adult on toilet duty who can keep the peace, keep the line respectful and ...keep party guests away from the rooms you want off limits. This should apply to your own kids too who will likely be busting at the seams to invite their friends to see their bedroom or yours. Make it clear from the outset that the party stays in the designated area. Keep a bin bag handy too so that as much mess as possible can go straight in the bag and have another adult on food and drink watch in case of any spills during the party. Try and remove any items you don’t want broken and make the area as kid-friendly as possible. At the end of the day, so long as the kids are having fun, the worst you can expect is vacuuming up some crumbs and confetti, collecting abandoned party plates and a quick spritz of all purpose cleaner before your house returns to it’s pre-party state!
