Gates Open New Year’s Eve @ 5pm & New Year’s Day at 11am Other Important points to note: This Is a COVID RESTRICTED EVENT with Limited Tickets available. Tickets ON SALE NOW New Year’s Eve Event $38 per person plus booking fee. New Year’s Day Event is $43 per person plus booking fee. Refunds: No refunds for lost tickets, change of mind, change of plans. NYE Parking & Gates Open: 5pm Parking & Gates Open 1.30am Close Cars will Not be able to be left on site. NYD Parking & Gates Open: Open 11am Parking & Gates 8pm Closes Cars will not be able to be left on site Licenced Event: This is a licenced event. Strictly No Alcohol & Food to be taken inside the event on entry. Sealed bottled water permitted. Food: Fast Food for this particular evening will be available Inside Yachties Bar & Café & Outside at affordable prices. Beverages: Eftpos will be available but no cash out. Tickets for beverages can be purchased near event entry for purchasing drinks outside. Normal Bar inside Yachties for purchasing drinks. Not Permitted: No Eskys, no umbrella's (even if raining), drinks, thermos, bottles, glass, or metal cutlery. Children: This Event is over 18 only. Weather: The concert will go ahead if it rains. The event will only be cancelled if conditions are deemed to be dangerous or by the Management for any reason. If the event is cancelled a full refund will be provided from the point of purchase. Transport: Why not walk from the City via the new walkway to the Yachties Bar Café South Burnie as parking is limited do not drink & drive enjoy your night safe & Support the Local Taxi & Bus Services.

22.01.2022 MERCURY NEWSPAPER BREAKING NEWS IN BURNIE BURNIE’S traditional beachside New Year’s Eve event may have been cancelled but a local music venue has stepped up to fill the void so North West Coasters can bid farewell to a year many may like to forget. Yachties Bar Cafe will stage 14 hours of live music over New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day featuring five acts to give residents a celebratory outlet and to support local musicians. In October the Burnie City Council announced it ...would not hold its annual Christmas parade or New Year’s Eve Bite and Brew event due to coronavirus restrictions. Council is disappointed it has had to make this decision but believes that it is in the best interests of all including Council staff, that we not proceed with either event. Both these events attract thousands and we realise how much joy they provide to the community, Mayor Steve Kons said at the time. Stephen Sheridan from Yachties Bar Cafe in South Burnie has decided Celebrations By the Bay is just the ticket to fill the void. Outdoor concerts will be held from 6pm till 1am on New Year’s Eve and from 12pm till 7pm on the first day of 2021. Live on stage will be Women of Rock, Adam Desilva Band and Heavy Rollers on NYE followed by Matt & CJ plus The Red Kellys and Nothing But a Glam Time on NYD. Those attending should bring deck chairs although some tables and seats will be available. It is a COVID-19 restricted event with limited tickets available. This... is what's amazing about our group, we have different ambitions, but we support each other in making it happen. This week we have supported a school in Kampot, Cambodia. A place that some members have traveled to and helped previously. The club helped by donating money to sponsor 2 teachers for the year. Educating youth is the way forward and we're pleased to make this happen! We are also looking at sending a Parklands high school student through a leadership program. 04.01.2022 Why is that Tasmania is mostly way behind the mainland, and why can't we make our own decisive decisions. Mainlanders think we are a backward State and are behind modern times. The Tasmanian Government has had the opportunity over the last few months to of led the way with the easing of Covid restrictions. But no we have just waited for other States to decide and changed restrictions long after they had decided to ease restrictions. The State Government started off well with ...their management of Covid, but now they are embarrassing the Tasmanian people. Tasmania could have been well in front of other States economically and socially at this stage. Tasmanian businesses and all residents of our State could have been back to normal long before now. This should of happened before borders were opened and business could have been well on the way to recovering from this economic disaster. This is just my opinion as a struggling business and individual feeling deprived of normal life at this point. See more
