24.01.2022 Yacht Lab's build your own Porsche kit or a Bathurst bound race car in for some last minute repairs? Yacht Lab has most of a full carbon 991 GT3 R in for a bunch of carbon repairs after some racetrack damage before Bathurst in a couple of weeks. Just looking for a RH door, bonnet, 4 wheels and a couple of other bits!

23.01.2022 Making stuff and breaking stuff at Yacht Lab this week! We have been testing new glues and ropes, including some new ropes from Marlow Ropes, in our Stic-It Composite Soft Pad Eyes range to test breaking loads. We also upgraded the testing jig with some soft shackles from RopeCo. South Australia and North Haven Marine and nice big winch! We have a bunch of new ropes to test courtesy of DeckHardware next week.... A new set of Pacer foils also completed and looking shiny as well as some more 75mm pad eyes! 19.01.2022 With the start of the sailing season upon us, Yacht Lab are already into the modifications and repairs for 2020. A Sabre that had a tangle with its trailer was in and out in quick time and ready to race this weekend and good as new. Custom carbon parts for a TP52 coming together nicely and getting a few coats of Durapox clear coat to bring out the bling!... A few shots of "Foxy's" first race last Friday. Thanks to Canvas Sails for the shots. @logixgroup Brighton and Seacliff Yacht Club, @anotherhooligan Goolwa Regatta Yacht Club Inc, Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia

17.01.2022 Yacht Lab spent the week preparing a few boats for the coming summer a head. Summer Jewel received a gunwale up machine wax including cockpit and boom. The teak was given a good clean, then the entire boat was given a complete detail from head to toe. She came up as good as new and was back looking sharp! Yacht Lab added some run off deflectors to keep the Solaris 50 looking her best. The idea is stop the water that runs down the rod rigging running over th...e hull. Now the water will drip off of the deflector instead of leaving stains on the deep blue paintwork aiding in keeping Summer Jewel looking her best year round. We finished the week with 2 hull polishes and waxes on two Rivieras out for their annual servicing. Royal South Australian Yacht Squadron Solaris Yachts Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia

15.01.2022 "Foxy" re appears with a fresh new look! Yacht Lab have been toiling away on this Noelex 25 this winter and its just about time for Foxy to hit the water. With a fully resprayed hull, deck, boot line and and gunwale stripe as per her original colour scheme in Awlgrip paint system. She looks as good as she did the day she left the factory some 40 years ago.... New windows, Gunwale strip, a few stickers and an interior tidy up to come and she'll be out and racing! 09.01.2022 Yacht Lab spent part of this week working on the Grainger Designed 42ft Tri "Venom". Yacht Lab did some work on the centreboard bearings to ease friction, began fabricating custom fittings for some systems and made custom stainless steel wear guards. Whilst out of the water Yacht Lab also gave the three hulls a coat of wax and boom....! She's back to her best and looking slick!... Yacht Lab's ability to fabricate from Carbon and Composites, Aluminium or Stainless Steel allows us to be able to come up with the best solutions to suit our customers' needs. 06.01.2022 The Gannet from a few weeks ago got a lick of paint on her deck this week. Painted in brilliant "Periwinkle Blue" this would have to be one of the best Gannet's getting around! Hull to be painted in the coming weeks. A credit to the owners for all their hard work. Also a sneak peak to another of this weeks projects coming together nicely finished in AwlCraft2000. 06.01.2022 "Foxy" getting some bling on this week at Yacht Lab. Yellow pin striping, freshly sanded teak toe rails, fiddles and grab rails, new windows and all the old deck gear bolted back on. Looking retro! The Gannet also had her hull painted this week and is getting closer and closer to hitting the water.... Both owners will be enjoying the spring weather out on the water soon! 06.01.2022 A pick up and delivery this week by Yacht Lab for a Flying Fifteen that had a run in with a rock wall down at Christies Sailing Club last weekend. Even though she had a couple of fractures and had taken on water, she was in and out in no time and ready for this weekends racing. Yacht Lab dropped the mast, removed the rudder, towed the boat back to our workshop and returned it ready to roll!... Also some custom carbon brackets and mounting pads for a set of sheet retrieval drums for a local TP52 went out the door this week. The mounting pads and removable brackets allow the system to be removed for offshore sailing so they don't interfere with the pipe cots. Yacht Lab are always here to help with tricky tasks and will always get you out racing or boating ASAP! 06.01.2022 The list of jobs to do on "Foxy" is getting smaller and smaller this week at Yachtlab. Original gunwale strip on with the help of @goolwamastandwelding. Name, rego and decals on as well as work now begins on inside. The before and after shots look like a cover from Trailer Sailer Monthly 1978! More soft pad eyes getting ready to head out to retailers both here in Australia and in Europe. It's starting to feel a lot like summer!

05.01.2022 Yacht Lab's own Stic-It Composite Soft Pad Eyes are heading out all over the world and are now helping American Magic in their quest for the 36th America's Cup. A long way from little old Adelaide SA to the America's Cup!

03.01.2022 "Foxy" has left the building! After a top to bottom refit of the exterior as well as an interior touch up with freshly oiled timber, new cabin liner and and a couple of gelcoat repairs, Yacht Lab looks forward to seeing "Foxy" on the racecourse at Goolwa this summer! If you would like to give your boat a new lease on life at a fraction of replacement boat price, get in touch with us. All areas of your refit are available in house at Yacht Lab.

02.01.2022 Yacht Lab has installed some more items on the Grainger 42 "VENOM" that we made last week. Custom water deflectors made to help shed water off the deck and keep it out of the cockpit. These were made in foam and carbon before being painted and non skidded. We also fitted the stainless chafe guards for the edges of the coach house we made last week.... There isn't much we cant handle in house at Yacht Lab!! Cruising Yacht Club Of Australia Venom sailing
