23.01.2022 Joan and Aaron showing how you can turn a singlet into a shopping bag in less than five minutes! Yack Community Op Shop has pledged to be plastic bag-free by the end of 2016. Can you help us? Would you have a few spare minutes to make a singlet or tee shirt into a shopping bag? Come and see Joan and Aaron on Thursdays and they will show you how. Please bring your own bags with you when shopping at COS whilst we get rid of the plastic ones and replace them with cloth bags.

17.01.2022 Today we embarked on the change over of our Summer/ Winter stock. Come and have a look at some of the wonderful things here to keep you warm this winter.

15.01.2022 Dress ups? Parties to go to? Come and visit our Op Shop and tog up! We even have a "Vintage" section with some lovely stuff. Open 10-4 M-F. Our lovely volunteers will give you a warm welcome and it's lovely and toasty in the Shop....

11.01.2022 Starting to play Bowls? Looking at the "Barefoot Bowls" series in Yack next year? Then don't miss out on these two sets of bowls just donated to COS. $20 a set and that has to be a bargain! First in, best dressed. I don't think they'll be in the shop for long!

07.01.2022 Well, autumn is well and truly here with Easter knocking on the door. Have we been busy here or what? Come and see us before Friday to have a look at the new stock we have in the Op Shop. Here's a bit of a preview. Our two lovely Tuesday afternoon volunteers, Chris and Di, are definitely not for sale!!

03.01.2022 Our crafty volunteers have been hard it - supporting Plastic Wise Yackandandah and their local Community Op Shop - thanks ladies... Plastic bags are a thing of the past now at COS. Forgotten to bring your own bag? Then make a gold coin donation for one of our upcycled linen and cloth bags. You can then feel good all day for keeping even the smallest bit of plastic out of the system and what's more, you'll get a good couple of years wear and tear out of it - not something you can do with a plastic throw-away bag!

02.01.2022 The Community Op Shop has 39 brand new claret bottles, cork fitting variety, which would normally cost 65 cents each (including GST). Is there a budding or existing wine maker who would like to make us an offer for them? Funds go back to the Community Centre and the community. Please call us on 6027 1743 to reserve them

01.01.2022 We love getting donations and it's fantastic to receive many wonderful items to re-sell and keep out of landfill. BUT - please, don't send us items that really should be put in the bin. Here's an example... A good rule of thumb when donating is "Would I buy this?" Thank you to everyone who continues to support our lovely little Op Shop with donations, and our many purchasers.
