11.01.2022 It's not often we'll post something like this but with more bikes being ridden at the moment, it's a timely reminder to keep your bikes locked up when not in use (when on the car). With a majority of our bike racks, there are locking cables built-in, now these aren't 100% thief proof by any means but they certainly will slow someone down... and a perfect example of this happened last night to our very own Kiwi Rep David, as he's outlined below. Certainly, something to think ...about when buying your next bike rack. "I was woken up in my hotel room early Wednesday morning by hotelier and police... policeman had been driving by and saw someone messing around with a bike cable locked to the Ute, he stopped to take a better look and guy quickly ran away. The wannabe thief had taken bike off rack and was trying to cut through the cable to borrow my bike. The policeman was most impressed with Yakima security and wants to buy himself a HighRoad carrier as he’s seen many bikes stolen from other carriers."
