25.01.2022 While Im out batting the elements Me mum sent me this... it can be said Dees is fairly content

25.01.2022 Bit of a short week with the Yak mobile shooting in for a much needed service tomorrow... Great day for mowing today looks like the weather is finally heating up a bit

24.01.2022 Few of today’s lawns around Waikiki magical day for it with that light Seabreeze flowing the whole day...

24.01.2022 Just washing this beast down to return to Kennards Hire after a morning of air rating and topsoiling a commercial property, Is this a service standard customers would like done? Let me know in the comments may think about doing a day every so often. . This thing stabs holes into your lawn if its compacted to give room for your lawn to grow and breath/absorb water.

23.01.2022 If youve stuck your head out the window this week you may have noticed Ive had help, today was my brother Tom & yall know Scott who helped on Tuesday.. The gents have been helping me catch up after last weeks rains set me back a bit... still a bit to go but almost caught up

23.01.2022 Just a quick little arvo project, Got some seeding soil from woody’s nursery in PK and trimmed some of me garden succulents... Thought I’d try chucking them in spontaneous containers for pips & giggles...

23.01.2022 We are still mowing while the little yakette takes her time to say how ya goin for the first time... They do speak instantly right? Anyway Perfect week for mowing and the grass is all so green from the rain! Yeeeeehoooo!

21.01.2022 Todays cooler conditions made for a great day of mows! Mondays rain has slowed us up a little but with the perfect weather rest of week (excluding the weekend) should be able to crank through it with the aim of hopefully catching up 0428-870-123 or FB message (Booked out till next Thursday)

20.01.2022 Weve been having a few questions for spraying the lawn yourself for weeds, So thought Id lash yall some tips. Keeping in mind we can do it if by the end of this your like yeahnah... . Best time to do it is before summer and before winter... that way you avoid the weeds blossoming... but if your in a street with bulk weeds... Just do it then spot spray when needed... . Cover your whole lawn, lots of people spot spray all the time... youll be amazed how fast the weeds come... back as you missed all its little friends by doing this... . Dont weed and feed use a proper grass friendly weed killer like bin-die... Your either trying to kill weeds or fertilise them to make them grow... Products like weed and feed are why I wake up screaming at night... . Follow instructions, we often get told I doubled it so should die quicker no... the leafs will but its roots will more than likely survive now, follow instructions and let it chill for a fortnight if it doesnt work, re apply. . Dont do it after a mow, weed sprays work by soaking into the leaf, if the leaf isnt there... well... it doesnt work...(spray one week after yak mows) . Dont spray in the rain.. or wind.. rain will make the spray less effective and wind may make the spray go on plants you want alive... . We hope these tips help remember you can always ask Yak for garden advice we love a good yarn especially about gardens. Were pretty much booked out next week with regulars and new clients, thanks for all the recommendations have had so many quotes this week its been amazing.

19.01.2022 Big couple of days with a bit of everything, Hedging, mowing & a bit of weed spraying definitely the season for garden growth!

18.01.2022 Absolute cracker of a week with a bunch of different jobs from hedging, small tree shaping to this arvos top soiling job and vacate mow... Can we just keep this weather?

18.01.2022 Yaks still out of action today hoping his cold calms its farm over the weekend, Sorry for the lawn juggling throughout the week... The Yak Mobile will be in front of your lawns as soon as my chest goes NahYeah Im ok now hey Currently walking around my house sounding like a two stroke hedger with the choke stuck half on.... Cheers again for your patience & please spare a thought for my wife.. Whos been dealing with chronic man-flu vibes all week...

18.01.2022 Just a reminder yak is currently working while waiting for the little Yakette to arrive, We will be having a fortnight off once she rocks up, So any mows moved to next week risk not being mowed for two.Just a reminder yak is currently working while waiting for the little Yakette to arrive, We will be having a fortnight off once she rocks up, So any mows moved to next week risk not being mowed for two.

17.01.2022 Both whippys definitely got a work out today with me and Scott teaming up to smash out a few block clears! Was a perfect day for it, but batten down the hatches tonight as weather this weekend is about to go cray with over 70mil of rain expected over the next few days! We are still a little behind but should be caught up by Tuesday next week.

17.01.2022 In Nepal a female Yak is called a Nak... Our baby Nak Lilly arrived in the world on Friday, Yak will be taking two weeks off from now but with all our mowers in getting maintenance we will be returning with a fleet of happy lawn mowers to get your yards looking back to prime in no time... Thanks for your understanding and I’ll see you soon!

16.01.2022 Lucky I didnt have any cash on me or Id have done something stupid... How cool are these old beasts at the Mundijong farmers auction

16.01.2022 Before chucking your sprinklers back on, check out what days are yours, Also before 6am and after 7pm is the best times to water... I personally do mine at night time during summer as it has longer to get down to the roots before evaporating... But either is fine. Also a good time to apply a watering agent to your lawn, Mulch the garden beds & apply a fertiliser to help the lawns wake up from their winter slumber.

16.01.2022 After fighting with the welder all day moose (yaks dad)has successfully fixed the mowing trailer! Cheers maaaaaaaate!

15.01.2022 Fencing! If your fence has blown down in the storms or just wanting to upgrade your dodgy holey fence before it does hit these blokes up. Great quality service

13.01.2022 It’s back! New deck, new enginey stuff... Shinny new muffler... yaaaay

13.01.2022 Yaks Still out of action... We have had a lot of time to come up with a mow schedule for next week to get us back on track once were back... that was a tongue twister... Hoping to get out tomorrow as we are craving cutting some green but will see how we go, Cheers for your understanding

13.01.2022 We are in that part of summer where we get hit by a few very hot days and don’t have any rain, Don’t panic if your lawns start to have a bit of yellow here and there without illegally watering it’s probably going to happen... . To counter it you can do a few things, Get yak to cut it without a catcher lawn is it’s own natural fertiliser effectively it eats its self once cut.. weird I know. . Use a watering agent, this helps when watering to keep the water where you want it a...nd not in our naturally sandy sand... . Give it a cheeky hand hose at night time after hot days (above 35) to help it cope with the heat doesn’t have to be for long. (Sorry fully booked till next week)

12.01.2022 Don’t forget as these warm rainless days start to flow in as the season warms up, head to the water corp website and find out your sprinkler days Hope everyone’s going well! . Reminder we are away this week and next! But coming back stronger than ever with some exciting little things in the works...

10.01.2022 Yak & Moose will be carrying out some emergency repairs to the mowing trailer today, One side has decided to sag down creating a lovely whale like sound as we drove down the road... so will be taking off the mud guard and getting back level.... 09.01.2022 We’ve made our way to secret harbour after our tyres got changed over... Both were bold in the middle from towing every day, didn’t realise but could have been the reason for yesterday’s little exploding episode... We are a little bit behind from this but should be caught back up by Monday.

09.01.2022 Our Zero turn & Honda rotary mowers are off in the shop having a makeover... So the spare commercial rover rotary is out and about today... has been a perfect day for it with a bit of rain cruising in tomorrow.

06.01.2022 Unfortunately due to today’s total fire ban including residential lawns we have decided to not risk it for the biscuit and called mows off for the day. All today’s mows have been messaged and moved to early next week, sorry for any inconvenience...... For information on what you can and can’t do head to https://www.dfes.wa.gov.au/totalfirebans/

06.01.2022 Yaks decided to call work off today. Hes suffering a runny nose, soar throat & fever... usually wed just power through but as we are in weird times with a silly bat virus lurking around... Weve decided to go get tested to be on the safe side as your health is important to us, We 99.9% know its a minor cold but dont want to be the guy on today tonight who traveled around thinking he only had a minor cold and set WA back into Bunnings lines and toilet paper shortages will keep yall updated with mows this week after Ive talked to Doc and got the clear

06.01.2022 Quick little bit of maintenance to start the day then a day of lawn taming Rockingham to port Kennedy...

06.01.2022 Fridays haircut... If only I could use the hedge trimmer to trim my beard ... would become a master piece....

05.01.2022 So had the nose swab yesterday which feels like their cleaning the back of your eyeballs(doesnt hurt though), The doc agreed with me 99.9% just a common cold but also said since I see so many peeps it was a good idea to check. Still have to wait for test due to policy which we should get the text this arvo (around a 24hour wait in WA) So should be on a lawn near you shortly once we both get the text and I feel better, Sorry for the delay but will have your places looking t...he goods ASAP (Old photo of Dees laughing at one of my jokes)
