11.01.2022 South Burnett Regional Council and Dam Managers would like to advise that due to the current COVID-19 crisis and advice from the Federal and State Governments that we have closed Lake Boondooma Caravan and Recreation Park and Yallakool Caravan and Recreation Park effective immediately, this includes all accommodation/camping and recreational uses of these facilities. All bookings will be cancelled with credits or refund options available, guests will be contacted individually with regard to their bookings. 05.01.2022 UPDATE ON REGIONS DAMS - Following the Coronavirus pandemic and subsequent Public Health Directives, Council has taken the opportunity to review and restructure the management of dam facilities for both of Councils Tourist Parks at Lake Boondooma Dam and Bjelke-Petersen Dam. Whilst no accommodation or camping options will be available in the short term, the Dams are open for day use only 6am-6pm, with fishing and boating activities available to visitors. Both facilities are expected to return to full operation by August 2020 (subject to any future Public Health Directives).
