24.01.2022 Chateau Musar Hochar Four years in the making, Hochar Pere et Fils Red is a blend of Cinsault, Grenache & Cabernet Sauvignon, from a single vineyard near the Bekka Valley village of Aana (Lebanon), characterised by deep soils over limestone. They are fermented in cement vats, with 6 to 9 months in French oak before blending & bottling (unfined & unfiltered)... After several years maturation in bottle, the wines are released a full four years after the harvest. ~ Chateau Musar is up there with one of our favourites & we had the pleasure of meeting Ralph Hochar (grandson of Gaston Hochar the founder of Chateau Musar) at a Chateau Musar wine tasting hosted at Yalla Sawa~
