15.01.2022 Last week our School Celebrated Book Week. Miss Schmidt's class thought you might like to see what they all dressed up as. It was a fun day with lots of giveaways. Well done to all of our students who were so patient waiting for Mrs Creighton to give out some treats.
15.01.2022 Our P/1A students have been working hard to get their handwriting neat and legible. They are doing a great job! Keep practicing.
14.01.2022 Just a reminder for our P/1 families that there are work packs to pick up from school today between 2:30PM and 3:00PM. Please maintain social distance and ensure that anyone 12 and over is wearing a mask. Please do not come if you are ill.
14.01.2022 Thank you to the amazing people that make up the school community. We all chipped in and did it again, Remote 2.0. Thank you to the real heroes, our Teachers and Education Support staff who in less than 48 hours set up a six week remote learning program.
13.01.2022 This book is part of a beautiful series that includes our most common natural distasters in Australia. Have you ever been stuck in a flood?
13.01.2022 Well done to this weeks award winners. Great to see so many awesome students trying their best every day.

11.01.2022 Congratulations to our school award winners.
11.01.2022 Thank you to all our amazing families who are working really hard to keep your child/ children engaged during remote learning. I thought I would share with you as we are almost at the end of term and our kids are finding it hard to keep up the screen time. I am no different to all the other families struggling. If you feel you are alone, you are certainly not different. My son and daughter attend our great school. Both Xavier and Emmalyn have found it really hard this we...ek and dont want to keep going. On R U OK day, I thought it important to share as quite often we only see all the amazing things that happen on Facebook. Parents with smiling kids and their books open. There is the real reality too that we are finding it tough and it has gone on for a long time (working from home). Please dont feel like your failing as your son/daughter doesnt want to learn today. We all have different ways of coping in this Pandemic and my kids cope by switching off and refusing to work. On R U OK day, remember there will always be tomorrow to catch up the learning but you will not get the chance to be so close to your children making great memories to tell at their 21st birthday. Kids grow up fast, so if the kids need a break, put down the books and get out in the yard and look at the amazing spring flowers and enjoy the sun on your back! You deserve it........ Thank you from all the staff at Yallourn North Primary School for making our Remote Learning 2.0 so successful. Mr K. See more

09.01.2022 There has been much excitement about returning to school. This time our return to school will be straight after the remote learning. Our first week of term 4 will be a remote program with the same requirements for essential workers as we currently have during the term 3 program. All students in our school will return together on 12th October.
09.01.2022 Don’t forget to wear your footy colours tomorrow! We also have modified our biggest morning tea fundraiser to small individual chocolates to comply with school COVID safe guidelines. There is a 2 treat maximum and each chocolate treat is 50 cents. Chocolates and footy, how much fun can we handle in a day? Oval will be open tomorrow for all students to be able to kick the footy.
09.01.2022 From 45E & 6M: Mrs Maxwell has created a very cringey video explaining how the lessons for 45E and 6M will work this Term, and how and when students can contact them. This video has been created in a bit of a rush to make sure kids know what is going on, and Mrs Maxwell is unlikely to become a professional Youtuber any time soon! So, if something doesnt make sense please feel free to message Mrs Logue or Mrs Maxwell on UEducateUs to clarify. https://youtu.be/nCX4_0fotzE
09.01.2022 Happy Wednesday! We have some great weather forecast on and off over the next few days, so why not get outside between the rain and try some of Mr Byrnes PE activities for this week! Feel free to comment on this post with a picture of you doing this great backyard game session for Mr Byrne to see :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COMuBseER44

JSC would like to create collage and show how much money has been raised at the end of the week, so although they will only be small you should know that your image will be shared.

05.01.2022 Just a reminder that the preferred way to contact the school is to directly contact your teachers through UEducateUs if you have any questions or concerns. Our office is not staffed full time for the next 6 weeks.
05.01.2022 Today is Australian Primary Principal Day, and we would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to our fantastic principal, Mr K. If you have ever wondered what it is like being a principal, imagine being a teacher, a lawyer, a police officer, a politician, a counsellor, a business manager, a nurse, a comedian, a coach, a security guard, a detective and a lion tamer all at once and if you are a principal at a small school like ours you can add chef, receptioni...st, computer technician, after school care supervisor, electrician, builder and plumber to that list! We are all very thankful for the support and care Mr Kenneth gives to everyone in our school community on a daily basis. Please enjoy this picture of Kieran having a well earned rest!
03.01.2022 FREE 3 - 6 CODING WEBINAR Thursday 20th August 2020 @9:50AM Information has been posted on UEducateUs and on ClassKick for the 3-6 students who may be interested in participating in this optional event.
03.01.2022 Well done to this weeks award winners.
02.01.2022 Under Covid 19 stage 3 restrictions, our school grounds are closed. There can be no community use of our playgrounds, basketball or netball courts. Should you be asked to leave please remember we are only following the chief health officers advice. Should you disregard the request then it will become a matter for Victoria Police. Mr Kenneth.
01.01.2022 Make sure you download the Webex program to your device as it no longer works through the internet browser. It is a free download.
01.01.2022 We were so lucky to go to Woorabinda school camp last week. The kids loved all the adventure activities and for staff who went there on school camp prior to Somers taking it on, many happy memories were rekindled. Our students were absolutely amazing and all put themselves outside their comfort zone and tried things that scared, excited or simply terrified them. I love the can do attitude of Yallourn North kids and they all displayed excellent team work, resilience and persistence. #Future leaders!
