25.01.2022 What a different year 2020 is. Leaves a taste in your mouth just like a foreigners first sampling of VB. This evening we had our tamest ever YCG Xmas celebration. No sailer jerry induced dance floor antics, no joining in with the house band and no dress ups for Bomber Harris. We did however hand out some awards to very worthy recipients. ... Best Female and male riders as well as most improved and young gun were handed out to those who had excelled across the year. To those who have had less than favourable moments this year; the goat horns, half wheel, and hub cap all have new homes, as does the fashions on the field, social media and Stevel Kenevel trophies. Massive thanks goes to Richard ‘The Pom’ Hunt for all of his organisation and to Maddog and the staff at the Yamba Shores Tavern for hosting the event. The YCG wishes everyone a merry Xmas and hope that you all make it through the remainder of 2020 unscathed. Fingers crossed that 2021 is one to remember for all the right reasons.

25.01.2022 Looks like our last chance to ride for a few days. Wet weather will send us indoors from Friday onwards. Hope to see a quality sized crew at the track.

25.01.2022 Morning all. Anticipated changes to COVID rules have not come to fruition. So unfortunately we will have to put some regulation on our Xmas gathering. We are limited to a maximum of 30 people. To make sure we stay under this limit we need to:... 1. Limit those attending to regular YCG riders only Also.... 2. No non-riding partners 3. No kids To determine exact numbers can you please private message the YCG Facebook page with a confirmation of who and how many from your family. It is disappointing that we have to put these restrictions in place as our Xmas celebrations are usually open to all comers. I hope you all understand why we have to put these measures in place. Hopefully next year we can go all out again. Fordy.

17.01.2022 Less than one week to go until the first YCG crit training session is on for 2020/21. Reminder that we have a new day (Thursday) but the same old start time of 5:45pm. It is a mystery as to what training sessions will be run. It all depends on who turns up. We usually have a women’s teams session first. This sessions involved the ladies acting as captains and choosing their male support riders to block wind and guide them around the track. Handicaps are given to each lady to... ensure that each rider is riding to the best of her ability. We usually follow this up with a session for the kids. Last is a series of open graded sessions. Riders self select and each grade rides for a predetermined time. A crew of us will be there from 5ish setting up safety signs and refreshments followed by a warm up on the track. I remind you all that the track is an open road and all road rules do apply. Another general safety recommendation is that you please ride only in an anticlockwise direction and make sure you are very aware of other road users on the track.
