24.01.2022 I tagged this flathead in Lake Macquarie on the 08.12.17 and caught it again nearly a year later within 100 metres from first tagged location. It was very str...ong and healthy but surprisingly had not grown any length in that time. It is the second fish that i have recaptured after tagging It goes to show how precious the big fish are to sport fishing given that they are often a resident to a certain area and their possible slow growth rate after maturity. And truly when you release a good fish that is handled carefully, gives others (maybe your kids) a chance to catch a big flathead. See more

23.01.2022 Will with his biggest Bream today at 36cm, which ran him side to side of the boat. Beating his dad, Dave, and younger bro, Tom, by just a few cm. A slow start with a good finish, catching most of the fish in the last hour. #yambasportfishingcharters #yellowfinbream

12.01.2022 Caught a couple of Bullrout along the middle wall. Doesn't matter how small they are, they still hurt like the big ones. I know from experience!

07.01.2022 Good effort all round, on 4'6" rod, 4kg line. It jumped on young Lincoln's line, mum, Jade giving him a hand and then ,dad, Alex took over landing this monster 81cm Dusky. They decided to release her to swim another day, after a couple of pics. #yambasportfishingcharters #duskyflathead

03.01.2022 Max and his sister, Coco came out with dad, Carl today. Max with the first fish of the day, a new PB Flatty for him at 66cm. He also scored another at 49cm. Nice feed tonight.
