19.01.2022 This Sunday we are NOT gathering at the YHub, but we ARE going to be down at the Yanchep National park from 4.30pm until dusk so please come and join us. We have previously gathered in the area just behind the toilets under a large tree and close to BBQs so we will head back there. You can bring nibbles/bbq food or whatever takes your fancy. The goal is simply to spend time as a church community together and to welcome any newbies into this space. Feel free to invite a friend to 'meet the family'.

18.01.2022 G'day everyone, Below is a set of six reflections that you can use to assist with your moving forward from 2020 into the future. These reflections can take as long or short a time as you wish, however my recommendation is to find yourself a quiet place and spend at least fifteen minutes thinking over all that 2020 has been for you. If you would prefer a video or audio option there is a YouTube link that you can play in the background while driving or out on a walk etc. ---...------------------------------------------- [] What are you thankful for at the end of 2020? [] What were the difficulties and trials you faced this year? Take a moment to review these experiences and lay them aside through prayer. Put them behind you so you can move onto the next year without their shadow. [] As a people forgiven we must also forgive. Were you hurt at all by someone or by some group in 2020? If you are holding un-forgiveness in your heart now is the time to let this go. Forgive so that you can be forgiven and loose the burden of disappointment that comes from carrying anger. [] Romans 15.13 tells us that we have a hope that produces joy. During years like this it may be hard to focus on the things that bought us joy. Nevertheless it is a renewing force to our soul to take stock of the things that have brought us joy. What has been joyful in you experience this year? [] Christ's disciples are to be ever led into more truth (Jn. 16.13). What were you personal learnings from 2020? What did you discover about your life that needs repair or change? What did you discover about your life that needs to be expressed and expanded? [] As referred to above in Romans 15, we have a God of 'all hope'. Hope is a strengthening virtue as it fuels vision and increases joy. What hopes do you have for the coming year? Try and break your hope into time expectancies. What are my near hopes? My far hopes? And most importantly what are my eternal hopes? _________________________________________ My hope for you is that as you close the book of 2020 you will feel an increasing sense of God's love and concern for you and that out of this experience you will renew your dreams and the focus of you life. This training is perfect for anyone interested in helping people, especially volunteer leaders in organisations and ministries.... Around 1 in 5 Australian adults experience a common mental illness each year. Understanding how to talk about mental health and help someone in need are important skills. Many people feel uncomfortable and unprepared when thinking about starting a conversation with someone they are concerned about. In this course you will learn how to recognise the signs and symptoms of mental health problems and learn the skills to feel confident and able to help. Having mental health first aid skills means that you can assist someone developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis and make a real difference to your community.
