14.01.2022 Hello local community and Surrounds We are overwhelmed with the support and kind words of everyone, the love you share really melts our hearts in this time of need. However It has come to our attention that some lovely residents are trying to start a go fund me page. Please refrain from doing this. There has been lots of scam alerts regarding this on Facebook this morning. Although we are insured we will still take a big loss but there are people in the east coast who are a ...lot worse off than we are so if you want to help someone please donate to them and support the volunteer firefighters, Bush fire brigades and Fire and rescue service as well as SES and all other volunteers. Please note - we do not have a Go Fund Me page or any kind of donation site associated with us or any family members or businesses. Please be aware of any scammers or fraudulent behaviour. In these times all we ask is that you stay safe and soldier on. This community has been amazing and keep up the great work!

14.01.2022 Looters targeting Yanchep Service Station Hours after Yanchep Beach Road opened to the public after the devastating bushfires in December 2019 thieves and looters have targeted us and our elderly next door neighbours burnt out house. They have ransacked and stolen our property collected over 33 years in business. Taking burnt things from someone else's property is theft, it's not souvenir collecting. ... The area inside the fences is still a hazardous site and it's dangerous to be in but some scumbags are breaking in and digging through the ashes. If you see people trespassing on the site at any time but especially late at night or acting suspiciously please call Crimestoppers or local police. Thankyou

03.01.2022 To our local Perth community, We are anxiously waiting to be able to see the remains of what once was the backbone of yanchep. For 3 generations we were doing our part as a local business to help build yanchep to what it is today. We are devastated. It goes to show how quickly these disasters can happen and how it effects everyone involved. We are thankful for the firefighters working day and night to save what they can. ... We thank the community for the on going support. It truly means a lot to our families. We are very proud to be apart of such a loving local community. As to where the future lays, well we cant think that far ahead. We will take it day by day and just thankful to be alive. From The Vaz families

02.01.2022 Looting and theft continue. Sometime during the night of Sunday the 5th January 2020 thieves stole the licence plates "LO 1953", as well as breaking into the house again. (PICTURE ONE) Sometime after 10pm on Tuesday the 7th January 2020, looters used cutting equipment to cut through the thick steel brackets attaching new heavy duty suspension on a dual axle car trailer in the yard of Yanchep Service Station. This would have been loud and create plenty of of sparks. (PICTUR...E TWO) Between 2pm on Friday 10th January 2020 and 4pm Saturday 11th January 2020 thieves stole a new large aluminium Truck wash deck (which was disassembled and partly scorched/burnt), and a damaged aluminium flat tray from a ute. They also stole a large aluminium platform with steps on wheels to reach the top of fuel trucks. The right hand hand rail at the top of the steps platform was melted. These are bulky items. The deck of the truck wash scaffolding is a single piece 11 metres long and neatly half a metre wide! (PICTURE THREE) Thieves either had a large vehicle or they cut up the items and loaded them on a trailer. A light coloured (possibly grey, metallic light green or silver) Holden Commodore sedan with a 6x4 trailer was seen on the limestone carpark during this time and may be one of the possible thieves. There may be more than one thief. Many viehcles may be involved. A child's red hoodie was found at the scene after the time of the theft of the large aluminium items. (PICTURE FOUR) If you have any dashcam footage or know of anyone who has the items please call the local police. If you are at a scrap metal dealers or second hand equipment shop and see these items please call police on 131 444 or crimestoppers on 1800 333 000. Thanks for your help.
