03.01.2022 Hi everyone. Here is a message regarding school banking. Message from Commonwealth Bank The health, safety and wellbeing of our communities and our people rema...ins our highest priority. Due to the ongoing uncertainty surrounding coronavirus, the School Banking program will remain on hold. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you informed with any updates including how we will be managing Dollarmite tokens for students. In the meantime, here are some handy online resources for parents who wish to maintain momentum with their childs financial education: Start Smart: these resources have been created to improve childrens money managment skills, and is aligned to the Australian Curriculum and the National Consumer Financial Literacy Framework. The Beanstalk: offers videos and fun activities for children to learn about money.

03.01.2022 Neighbouring suburb!

01.01.2022 It was heartening to see so many neighbours in our Yangebup street paying their respects on their driveways this morning. A very different, but equally moving dawn service.

01.01.2022 Hi Again Everyone, This communication is to clear up some confusion around when parents choose to send their children back to school. At the moment, the govern...ment has offered the choice for parents to keep students at home. The health department view is that it is safe to send children back to school but that some families may have reasons for not wanting to send their child back while Covid 19 restrictions are still in place. For the parents who choose to keep their children home, the Education Department has provided packages for distance education. The school distributes them and the class teacher of these children will communicate with those families at least once a week. It is not something that can vary throughout the school week. Once students have attended they must continue to attend unless they are sick. The Education Department has been clear that if students are unwell at the moment they must stay home. We must send students home if they say they are sick at school. Symptoms to watch out for are a runny nose, fever and coughing. Once children have returned to school it is attendance as normal. The school does not provide work for students who are home sick. Please contact the school if your child has returned for term 2 but is sick or not attending for some other reason. As in the pre-Covid 19 world, if students are going to be away for some time, parents can contact the school for some ideas about catch up work. Hoping this clears things up. Regards Chris Boggin Principal

01.01.2022 Can anybody help this lady please? "I'm moving to the area I have a Daughter 9yrs old in year 4 this year. She loves her current school and does not want to leave I think the change is a bit scary for her even though I know she will be fine she is a kind friendly little girl who gets along with every one. So I want to enrol her into South Coogee Primary for year 5 next year we are only an 8 min walk away, I was hoping I could find her some friends in the area so she can look forward to the transition. We don't know anyone in Coogee or Yangebup. Jessica is terrified of the move but if you could have some suggestions for us to socialize her with local kids I would be forever grateful for the help."

01.01.2022 Seems like a good time to share this. Please also note that so-called "flushable wipes" will not break down and may cause blockages. This could prove expensive for tenants to rectify at their cost so please be careful.
