25.01.2022 These little angels are in our care after their beautiful mum, Holly, passed away Monday night after giving birth to them. It was an incredibly hot day here on Monday and it was just too much for our amazing girl. We're just grateful that they made it through the night. RIP Holly, you will be sadly missed by us and your five Little darlings.

21.01.2022 So, our little piglet, now known as Donald (because he used to walk like a duck), has become a bit of a house pig. After reuniting with his mum he took another turn a couple of days later and the vet prescribed penicillin injections for an infection. He's still very tiny (about 8 inches at the shoulder) but very brave. He now insists on coming with us to do the feed run twice a day. He says hello to all the big pigs, plays with his siblings for a while, then follows us back up to the house. He's adorable!

21.01.2022 The weather is looking awesome for tomorrow's Olive Grove Picnic with Producers... Tickets will now be available at the gate. We will be selling our natural honey and creamed honey in all sizes.... After the recent rains, the South Burnett is green again - it's the best time to appreciate the beauty of this wonderful region.

20.01.2022 Our amazing bees have been super busy filling lots of frames of delicious honeycomb! This is our first ever batch to be packaged for sale. You can purchase it now through our website www.yanjalahoney.com.au, or if you live in the South Burnett, drop into the Kingaroy visitors centre later this week to purchase one of our 350g containers. The Murgon visitors centre will have some of the smaller 140g jars of honeycomb in honey.

20.01.2022 So she had 15, but sadly one didn't make it So proud of her!! Fingers crossed they all survive the next few nights, then they all should make it.

16.01.2022 Ellice and her partner have been working their magic again... this time with a beautiful skinless shoulder roast (from our smoke-n-grill pack), slow cooked in the smoker to make some amazing pulled pork. 16.01.2022 Just thought everyone might like to see the little boy re-united with his big mumma... he was so excited to see her it brought tears to my eyes. Just to set the scene... I re-united him with his siblings while mum was eating (they welcomed him with open trotters)... he heard mum calling to them as she was heading back to the nest and he came running out to greet her, calling "mum, I'm back!" (I wish I got that bit on video). Fingers crossed he thrives now (I think she even thanks me in the end) (apologies for the wind interference)

05.01.2022 Well, my patient is going strong this morning. He woke every two hours overnight for a feed. If he keeps up the good work I will try to put him back with mum tomorrow morning (we have another sow about to farrow, so we might get her to foster if she doesn't have a huge litter).

01.01.2022 I keep speaking to people that haven't already heard our recent news... so, if you didn't already know, DH (Scott) has left his "desk job" to become a full-time Apiarist! He's doing an apprenticeship with a business that has over 1,500 hives spread across SE Qld, NSW and VIC and he's absolutely loving it!
