24.01.2022 Even though Men's Shed Week is done and dusted for 2020, we reckon the catchphrase 'it's more than just a shed!' is relevant right throughout the year. What do you love about your Shed?.. #menssheds #morethanjustashed
23.01.2022 Hello everyone, due to the latest COVID restrictions it has been decided to stay on the safe side and shut down the Yankalilla Men’s Shed from now until further notice. Keep safe everyone.
21.01.2022 Meet the awesome blokes that run the Buderim Mens Shed For more info, head to https://bit.ly/BuderimMensShed
21.01.2022 Here are 3 good reasons to listen to the brand new episode of The Shed Wireless: 1. In Ask-the-Doc, we ask all the hard (ahem) questions about erectile dysfunc...tion Yes, really. 2. There's a great explanation of the new tax status known as DGR, which enables approved Sheds to receive tax-deductible donations. 3. We're talking about rudeness and respect, not to mention celebrating Men's Shed Week 2020 (as demonstrated by the Shedders in the pic) And that's just for starters! Listen wherever you get your podcasts or here https://redcircle.com/shows/the-shed-wireless #mensshedweek2020 #morethanjustashed
16.01.2022 Get involved Hi everyone. We're spreading the message that it's okay to not be okay. In conjunction with the Yankalilla Council, Skylight Foundation, the Yan...kalilla Men's Shed and Community Connect community Conversation group we're putting the word out there. The message is simple, "It's okay to not be okay". If you need someone to talk to call lifeline on 13 11 14. I've been busy making some signs that you'll see around town. I'm doing the woodworking and Cass is doing the painting as apparently I can't paint to save myself!!! We're running a display at the Normanville supermarket on the 16th (this Friday) from 3:30pm till 6:00pm. Come and say G'day. We'll have smaller versions of this sign for people to take home and we'll be encouraging businesses to order (free of charge) some bigger signs to display for everyone to see. As it's been identified that I'm terrible at painting we'll have paint and brushes for anyone who wants to have a go at painting a blue tree on their own sign. The mental health of our community is incredibly important. Jump onboard and get involved Cheers, Ash.
13.01.2022 "MATE, age is totally irrelevant to me" says the straight-talking 'Lambassador' Sam Kekovich in the brand new episode of The Shed Wireless The controversial s...ocial and football commentator is just one of our special guests. We hear how Shedding started in the USA. Plus we Ask the Doc about the realities of hearing loss Listen here: https://mensshed.org/theshedwireless/ See more

02.01.2022 Happy International Men’s Day from the Australian Men’s Shed Association! The theme for 2020 is better health for men and boys. When was your last service? If it’s been a while, have a look here https://malehealth.org.au/
02.01.2022 John Paul Young's sensational voice and smash hits through several generations (such as Love is in the Air and Yesterday’s Hero) have been part of Australia’s... soundtrack since the seventies. Now he's released a brand new Men's Shed song and music video! Be warned, it's an extremely catchy tune. It's set to bring laughter and a much-needed feelgood factor as we approach the end 2020. Written and performed by the one and only JPY in conjunction with The Jingle Joint's Danny Marx Young, Donny Whitworth and Jake Tuffin. Video co-stars are the Raymond Terrace Community Men's Shed Band See more
02.01.2022 On this day six years ago David Shreeve and myself, Ash Edwards hosted the first ever expression of interest meeting for the Yankalilla & districts Men's Shed. We met a bunch of like-minded guys that night, and from there we formed a steering committee. It was a big team effort with massive support from the committee, community members and volunteers who donated machinery, hands on time and services. ... We now have over fifty financial members and continue grow. Thank you to every single person who helped us become what we are today. We simply couldn't have done it without all the support and encouragement. Happy sixth birthday to us!
01.01.2022 Spread the word! Tomorrow morning Sunrise will have the world premiere of JPY's new Men's Shed music video. Yes, you read that right! A music video co-starring Shedders...with the legendary JPY. You're gonna love it #menssheds #mensshedsaustralia
