19.01.2022 Double Wicket Form Guide With only four spots left, Reds Nation was able to channel the Ritchies and bring you this years form guide on some of the entrants so far: Eggy & Jarvo: Former champs. Have run the gauntlet before and could very well do it again. Wildly entertaining and inconsist, perennial fan favourites.... Gav & Josh: Always dangerous doing business with family, but there won't be too many keen to face Josh who could we demolish teams and let Gav bring it home with the bat. Matty P & Soro: Having paired up with Wisden's #1 Cricketer of all time was a strong move by young Matty. As long as Soro doesn't get distracted by his own reflection, they should go far. Ditto & Bill: Will look to run through their opponents quickly as they need to be back at the retirement village by 4:00. Caused one of the great upsets of all time knocking off the Slattwicks in the first round last year. Ross & The Weapon: Two big hitting allrounders is pretty much the ideal recipe for the double wicket and these lads have it in spades. Big chance. Slatts & Kit: Reeling from the shock early exit of the Slattwicks last year, Slatts has booted Chaddy and reigned in last years LVP in Kit. Both should be highly motivated and could very well be dangerous. Ibbo & Col: Set the tournament alight with their big blasting in the early rounds last year. Will look to take it even further this year and sit well as a genuine contender. Tony & Jayden: Running the family risk again but made it to the Semi's last year and Jayden appears to be even taller than last year! Very good chance. JC & Corey: Any side with JC is going to go for it from ball one and go hard, making this duo a pair to watch. Forsey & Kerry: Set the bar incredibly high in the best dressed stakes last year, looked absolutely marvellous. Allegedly can play cricket too, could this be their year? Less than 2 weeks 'til the big day Reds. 4 spots still open for pairs so if you want to play in the best days cricket you will ever experience, let us know.

08.01.2022 Double wicket winners!!! Congrats to Bye Bye & Kenny for taking out the 2020 Yaralla C.C Double wicket. A big thank you to everyone who took part in the day. The from Sandpaper shenanigans to the Weapons batting heroics there was some truly sublime cricket in spite of the conditions.... Massive thank you to Ross and the committee for their tireless work in preparing and running the day, to Dip for scoring and Ash for umpiring. Without you all this terrific event would not be possible. Most Valuable Player: The Weapon Pat Teinaki for over 150 runs. Best Dressed: David "Mastermind" Warner and Cam "Sandpaper" Bancroft - AKA Forsey and Alex Best Match: Semi final between Team Wroe and eventual winners Bye Bye & Kenny which went right down to the wire. Least Valuable Player: Everyone who gave their phone number to Eggy & Jarvo thinking they actually were Alyssa Healy and Elyse Perry... You can't be serious: Bye Bye & Kenny knocked over Ross and the Run Machine Weapon for just 6 in the GF... And only just passed them!!! Thanks again to everyone for another great Double Wicket. 08.01.2022 With the announcement today from CRICKET AUSTRALIA & advice from Queensland Cricket, The GCI are following the recommendation of all 2019-2020 Cricket Season F...ixtures / Finals / Training and Presentations for clubs, players, parents and supporters are to be cancelled effective today. This decision has not been taken lightly and is obviously following the recommendations of Cricket Australia based on the information provided to them from Health Officials. More information on End of Season Award Winners and any more updates will become available as the week progresses. If you have any questions please contact your clubs. They have all the information. We thank all our clubs, players & supporters for another great season of cricket!

05.01.2022 She's all over for 2019/20 With yesterday's unfortunate announcement from CA, the cricket season has come to an abrupt halt. Any game with Trent Sorohan is bound to draw a crowd well in excess of 500, so the decision to cancel is understandable. On a more serious note, I would like to thank everyone involved this season for their participation and assistance. Another great year for the Reds and it would be possible without every one of you. ... I would especially like to thank the Senior captains for their tireless work this year. Cronin's boys made their way to yet another GF and have been instrumental in creating a winning culture at the club and making Yaralla a force in Gladstone Cricket again. Wroey gets the tough task of enduring the growing pains of developing our youngsters each week. Seeing how far these young lads have come over the past 2 seasons is a testament to Tony and the vets in his side and will pay off in the years to come. Thank you fellas. As always, a huge thank you to the committee who's incredible efforts allow us all to get on the park each week and develop the club off the field. Thank you. It's a disappointing way to end the season, but don't let that take away from the highly successful season that it was. Go Red's!!!

04.01.2022 Looking ahead Just 2 weeks to go in the Regular Season for the Seniors and it's at this time of year Reds that we start planning for next season while watching our sides ramp up for the Finals. Cricket clubs don't run themselves folks and while the committee has done a tremendous job in recent years of setting up, streamlining and planning things there still needs to be someone to actually do them. At the end of this season I will be taking an indefiite break from my roles w...hich will mean someone will have to be Senior Cricket Co-Ordinator, someone will need to organsie the Double Wicket, someone will need to be the Junior Welfare officer, someone will need to hang shit on Soro on our Social Media Account and so on and so forth. So over the next couple of weeks, have a thought to what you might be able to do to help out for next year. Whether your handy with Social Media or keen to run the Seniors or the Double Wicket, every bit helps and it simply cannot be left to the existing committee members to pick up the slack. So if you can help out in any way, get in touch with a committee member and get yourself on the committee for next year to ensure that the coming seasons for the Reds can be just as successful as our recent past has been. Go Reds!!!
