25.01.2022 Thank you Ravenswood Learning Centre's management and staff for inviting us to your, Thank You Firey Day. Between the dress ups and using the hoses to pushing the siren , I am sure by the smile on the children's face they had fun . They did so well with the evacuation . Thanks Carol and Bill Parkinson for bring the fire unit over and helping to entertain the children

14.01.2022 Total Fire Ban for Tomorrow. Both zones of Harvey Shire are both VERY HIGH Details below Status: Total Fire Ban Declared for: 05/01/2021... All Day At these times you must not: Light, maintain or use a fire in the open air Carry out any activity that could start a fire This includes: Open fires for the purpose of cooking, camping or outdoor entertainment are not allowed including fire pits and bonfires. Hot work such as metal work, grinding, welding, gas cutting is not allowed in the open air except for business and industry if regulatory conditions are met. Off-road activity using a four-wheel drive, quad bike, motorcycle, bobcat or similar vehicle, except for agricultural purposes or by business and industry if regulatory conditions are met. If a Harvest and Vehicle Movement Ban has been imposed by your local government, off-road activity for agriculture or business and industry including harvesting is banned. Exceptions are made for essential services. For a list of activities that can or cannot be carried out during a Total Fire Ban and conditions visit dfes.wa.gov.au/totalfirebans or by telephoning the Total Fire Ban Information Line on 1800 709 355. You could be fined up to $25,000 or jailed for 12 months or both if you breach a Total Fire Ban.

12.01.2022 7th January 2021 is 5 years since our town change forever. Yarloop Fire Brigade will be once again organising a drive around. Anyone wishing to participate please meet at the Yarloop Station at 5.30pm for departure 6pm. There shall be tea, coffee,cooldrinks and water plus some nibblies. YARLOOP BRIGADE WOULD LIKE TO INVITE ALL FIRE BRIGADES AND GENERAL PUBLIC TO JOIN US ON THE DRIVE.

03.01.2022 The Cookernup community and folks far beyond were rocked by the recent passing of much loved and respected Bryan Crook and our hearts go out to the family at th...is time. Those who would like to attend the funeral of Bryan Crook are advised that it will be on Friday 6th of November at 2pm at the Bunbury Crematorium on Hales Street <3 *Please be Covid concious and adhere to any covid safe plans or practices in place at the venue.

YES Santa will be driving around our streets this Christmas Eve on our local Fire Truck , he will have some special little Elves helping him this year . So keep your eyes and ears open around 5.30/6pm. Christmas Eve. He also will have lolly bags for all our wonderful children .

01.01.2022 RIP Bryan Crook Deepest sympathy and condolences to Janine, Family & the Cookernup Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade on the passing of Bryan. Bryan was a true gentleman and a great friend to many, will be sorely missed but fondly remembered. We love you Crooksy!
