07.01.2022 Our Juniors have tried this drill on a sit on top and it worked great to teach them to rotate rather than pull the paddle.
06.01.2022 One of the drills our squad will be doing next week.
06.01.2022 Unfortunately due the border closure we have had to cancel our GP race that was to be held on the 17th of January, but thanks to Paddle Victoria we are still able to run the Murray River Classic as part of the winter series on the 30th of May. Thank you for your understanding during these difficult times.
05.01.2022 Who is keen to join us for this paddle again the 12th of December, the Cobram Barooga Canoe Club will not be holding the Ben Ward race this year but members of both clubs will be paddling the course for fun.
02.01.2022 Give paddling a go resumes this Wednesday at the YYC Yarrawonga Yacht Club from 5pm, now that we can paddle on the Murray River and Lake Mulwala without a permit. As at 28 September 2020 the NSW Government has amended the Public Health (Border Control) Order 2020. The changes mean that all Victorian residents who are not covered by a Victorian Area Direction or a COVID Area of Concern (as specified by the Victorian Chief Health Officer) are able to use the Murray River as long as they do not disembark on the NSW side of the river.
02.01.2022 Watch out Melbourne schools here comes the Murray Region Paddlers. Today we had 40 students from Cobram Secondary College give paddling a go with another 20 booked for tomorrow, this along with the 20 paddlers involved in our junior program and 10 or so from the Cobram Barooga Canoe Club we look like having a big team at next years Paddle Victoria State Sporting Organisation school champs. If you would like to join our team come along to one of the come n try session held by both clubs
01.01.2022 For over 40 years our club has been involved in the Massive Murray Paddle / Murray Marathon, this year there was no event so Jared Loughnan and myself have set a goal to paddle the 404km of the MMP from the Melbourne cup weekend until the end of the year, with less than 25km to go I will be joining the Cobram Barooga Canoe Club to paddle from Cobram to Tocumwal which is also the paddle leg of the Murray Quadrathlon that was also cancelled, to finish this challenge.
