23.01.2022 BIGGLES This handsome man is 7 year old Boxer called Biggles. Biggles has a heart condition that can occur in Boxers which is called Cardiomyopathy. Today, Dr. Kim fitted him with a device called a "holter monitor" and this will measure his heart's activity over the next 24 hours during exercise and at rest. The monitor will then be sent back to Dr. Richard Woolley, the specialist pet cardiologist for analysis. This information will be critical to Biggle's future treatment plan, allowing him to have a healthy and happy life. Thank you to Biggle's owners for entrusting us with the care of their beloved dog.

20.01.2022 CUTENESS OVERLOAD We couldn’t resist sharing these photos of this much anticipated litter of Australian Cattle Dogs. Over the last few months, Dr. Emma has been overseeing Pipi’s pregnancy by screening her progesterone levels, which indicates a number of things such as ovulation and when she would be receptive to mating, as well as confirming the pregnancy via abdominal ultrasound and X-Ray. (See last photo to see the X-Ray image of the babies in Pipi’s belly!) Pipi and her... owner have done an outstanding job in raising these babies, it is a tiring task and we were so thrilled to meet them the other day. You may note the coat colour of the puppies when they were first born. Did you know that Cattle dogs are born predominantly white and develop their colour as they grow? Fascinating! 19.01.2022 How cute are little Aussie bush babies? Spring is well and truly under way. We are seeing quite a few wildlife youngsters come in lately! These two little ones are orphaned ringtail possums and after a physical assessment by our vets, we have sent them on to a wildlife carer to grow into healthy little adults and eventually release back to the wild. One of our incredibly talented and generous clients GedArt has donated some of his artwork and trust us when we say that these freehand paintings are absolutely stunning! Together, we have raised almost $1400 toward the rescue group Foster Kittens Of Melbourne. We are absolutely blown away by everyone's generosity and these funds will assist these cats and kittens with their veterinary treatment during the very demanding kitten season we are currently experiencing. 03.01.2022 Getting to know one another Dr. Olivia started her day off at the clinic this morning meeting one of our newest patients, 8 week old Boxer, Dougie. He came in to have a new puppy health check and to introduce himself to all the staff before quickly dozing off in Michelle, one of our reception nurse’s arms. Dr. Liv then got to travel out on a farm visit to Dougie’s new home where she finished her day performing a check up on 8 month old Jersey Cow, Audrey. She captured this ...adorable shot of her two patients and we think it is way too sweet not to share. We wish all our clients a safe long Grand Final weekend. 02.01.2022 To our valued clients COVID-19 update - 3rd August 2020 Yesterday the government advised that as of 6pm last night, metropolitan Melbourne has moved to Stage 4 restrictions. Veterinary practices are an essential service and we will still be here for you and your pets during this time. ... In order to protect our staff and clients and stop the spread of COVID-19 we now request: -Please wait in your car at our clinics and phone us on arrival. Lilydale: 9739 5244 Yarra Glen:9730 1569 All food and medication supplies will still be able to go ahead, however we will ask that you pay over the phone and we will deliver this to you in our car park. We are currently investigating the option for a home delivery service pending demand. All receipts and paperwork will be emailed to you where possible, so please ensure we have a valid email address. Farm visits will continue as normal, however please ensure you have your face covering on, or the vet may refuse service. Please advise us if you have been unwell or are in mandatory isolation so we can use appropriate PPE when handling your animal. We are awaiting further clarification on services from the government and will continue to update you as we become aware. We understand these are challenging times. Mittens is a relaxed cat as you can tell by the cute way she crosses her paws and her soft facial expression.
