16.01.2022 Yarra Valley Grammar held the Graduate Exhibition virtually this year to celebrate the work of our Unit 3/4 students within the Art, Design and Technology and Digital Technologies faculties. This allowed families the opportunity to explore the works of the Media, Product Design and Technology, Studio Art and Visual Communication Design classes. 12.01.2022 VALE JENNY ROLLESTON Jenny Rolleston spent 24 years of her life as an incredible educator of deaf and hard of hearing students in our Hearing Unit. Thirteen of those years was as Head of our Hearing Unit. She led and guided the students, the Hearing Unit staff and the mainstream staff in the advancement of the students, in issues of deafness and in the latest teaching practices to enable the successful inclusion and integration of the students into mainstream education at Yar...ra. After a long illness Jenny passed away on Sunday 25 October. We extend heartfelt sympathy to her partner, Di Lewis. Tobin Brothers, Mt Martha will conduct a funeral service at 5pm tomorrow, Thursday 5 November. It can be streamed at tobinbrothers.com.au//details/18098/Jenny-R/obituary.html. 09.01.2022 NAIDOC WEEK This week the School recognised NAIDOC week which celebrates the contributions of Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander peoples to Australian culture and society. The theme for the week is: Always was, always will be which recognises the continuity and richness of First Nations culture.

06.01.2022 AI FOR GOOD We would like to congratulate our Year 7 team who finished in second place for Microsoft’s AI For Good National Finals. They developed the Anallergic Watch concept - a smart AI anaphylaxis monitoring watch to reduce the fatality rate of children and seniors with severe anaphylaxis worldwide. 02.01.2022 CREATATHON Congratulations to our two student teams who won our inaugural Yarra Valley Grammar Creatathon. Each team utilised their creativity, imagination and problem solving skills to complete a number of challenges across three weeks. We had 24 teams submit over 100 photo and video solutions across the competition and sincerely thank everyone for their involvement.
